How to Become A Master of Your Subconscious Mind

How to Become A Master of Your Subconscious Mind

The Subconscious Mind - What does it do?

The subconscious mind (or unconscious mind) is sadly, a mystery to the general population with the majority of people unable to explain just what it is that their subconscious actually does.

When you consider that our subconscious mind is responsible for not only running our bodily functions, as an engineer runs a ship ... but also performing multiple, simultaneous actions and maintaining habits, it is very surprising that more people aren’t aware of the amazing power within their heads.

Successfully utilizing the power of the subconscious mind is the key to living a successful life, and I will explain why I think this is so true in the following paragraphs. You're about to learn some amazing things on this journey to discover the power of the subconscious mind.

First of All - What Exactly is Your Subconscious Mind?

Imagine a young farmer sitting in his newly acquired farmhouse, considering what might be best to plant for the coming season. He would most assuredly choose those vegetables that would bear him the most rewards, and having done that, he would then proceed to prepare the soil and make sure he had all the necessary resources available to him for the successful cultivation of his crops. He desires a great harvest, so there is some work to be done.

You are the farmer (remember Jesus was mistaken for a Gardener), your subconscious mind is your land, your fertile soil, and your thoughts are the seeds that will either grow into lush fields of vegetables or ... strangling, creeping and ugly weeds.

That is the nature of the universe; everything starts as a seed, an idea which in time grows into a form, a form chosen beforehand by the creator, the evidence is all around you, no matter where you look. As the creator, you are responsible for controlling the subconscious mind, and when you do so you reap unlimited benefits. Remember also, that before you can have a harvest the seed must be buried in the ground.

“Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality .”
~Earl Nightingale

Subconscious Mind Facts

The Subconcious Mind makes up 88-90% of your brain's capacity. Sometime's more.

The Subconscious Mind is unable to reason, therefore is unable to reject anything that it is told by you ... the 'conscious mind' (awareness) in essence - so be careful what you think. Guard the gates of your Garden.

The Subconscious Mind has a perfect memory, which means we only need to search and have faith in the knowingness of its ability ... and we'll recall information easily. This is cause and effect.

Tips for Controlling the Subconscious Mind:

Subjective Thoughts are the Seeds
(See my article on Subjective versus Objective)

Although we know that thoughts have power and can become “things,” it is important to understand the difference between an objective thought and a subjective thought. An objective thought is the result of "general thinking," such as reasoning, the process of recollection or study and there is no feeling involved, therefore it cannot enter or control the subconscious mind.

A subjective thought on the other hand, can enter the subconscious mind as long as it is impressed often and with sufficient feeling, which we often do quite easily when worrying over something. Affirmations infused with emotion would be one way of successfully tapping into the power of the subconscious mind if repeated on a daily basis with passion and vigor.

Observe Your Thoughts and Choose Which Shall be Admitted to the Subconscious Mind. Be the Gatekeeper:

With this in mind; learn to observe your thought processes and notice which thoughts are generating an emotional response within you.

Stop negative thoughts as they appear and do not allow them to become subjective by giving them feeling, similarly, should you wish to sow positive thought seeds, imbue them with emotional content.

Water them often, by repeating those thoughts over and over throughout the day and the subconscious mind will get to work bringing the means and resources to you, so that you may reap a grand harvest.

Dangerous Seeds That Turn the Power of the Subconscious Mind Against You:

Revenge - I advise you not to dwell on thoughts of a vengeful nature for they will seep into your subconscious and turn you into a person who takes things personally. Let the ego go.

Envy - You life will flounder, and progress be limited when you program your subconscious mind to focus on what other people have. Focus on your immediate blessings.

Blame - These type of powerful thoughts tend to turn you into a person that shirks responsibility for your own life. Something goes wrong and you blame someone else, automatically if your subconscious mind has accepted this program. We must take responsibility for our own choices and manifestations. This is karma (doing) ... Cause and Effect.

“You have been sowing bad seeds in your Unconscious; now you will sow good seeds. The power by which you have produced these ill effects will in future produce equally good ones. ”
~Emile Coue

Your ideas start out as seeds that require nurturing:

Controlling the Subconscious Mind Through the Power of Substitution

This is a method of stopping discordant, weed-like thought seeds and replacing them with more suitable, positive and energetic thoughts that will sprout into whatever bountiful form you give them. You can't just yank something out and leave a hole. It must be filled with something.

You may be in the habit of thinking negatively and therefore find it difficult to stop a weed thought, and replace it with a good thought, but never fear ... for there is one excellent way to control the subconscious, and the thoughts it is fed.

A mind that is filled with negative thoughts can just as easily become a mind that is filled with good thoughts, and this can be done by looking for the good in everyone and everything. Read this paragraph again. It is important.

Yes, it is difficult; controlling the subconscious mind through such a technique and that is why it helps to first practice seeing the other side of the coin for a week or so.

Keep a gratitude journal, go on a daily rampage of appreciation, walk the streets mentally praising everything you see for there is good in everything if you look closely enough.

Doing that will bear you in good stead for the times when you wish to replace discordant thoughts with positive thoughts, because your subconscious mind will already be well-versed in producing thoughts of a good kind.

As a result, you will be able to easily control the subconscious and the harvest it produces for you. Bless people. To "bless" comes from the Greek word "eulogia" ... which means simply to speak highly of someone.cJust as at funeral, a "Eulogy" is delivered.

Reap the Bountiful Harvest of Your Thoughts and Tap into the Power of the Subconscious Mind:

Impress Just One Desire upon the Subconscious Mind at Any One Time for the Best Results.

When you desire a thing or a circumstance, the best way of informing your subconscious mind is by repetition of the thought. You first plant the seeds of your desire, and then you water the seeds with constant repetition. This is the most effective way of controlling the subconscious mind, of preparing the soil so that your desire can quickly grow and blossom into full manifestation.

And do not use negative based thoughts. No using words like "won't, don't, can't, shouldn't" ... these are all negative based words and the subconscious can only deal with what is ... and not with what is not. For example, do not say "I won't have a bad day" ... instead say: "I will have a great day." The subconscious mind can only hear "bad day" or "good day." And that is what you will get.

However, it is commonplace for a person’s mind to be filled with more than one want or desire, and all this does is confuse the subconscious mind and kill the original seed that was planted.

It is imperative then, that after you have planted a desired seed in the garden of your subconscious mind, that you water and feed only that seed until it sprouts and you are able to reap the harvest it produces.

Use affirmations, write your goal down on a card and read it daily, visualize its completion and rest assured, just as a farmer’s well tended crop produces a plentiful harvest, your desire will manifest. See it as complete already. Not as some future event.

Controlling your subconscious mind is just a matter of focus, emotion and intent coupled with imagination. Those four are the difference between a barren wasteland of a subconscious mind or a blossoming, plentiful and abundant one. Which one would you prefer?

"Fear is a negative thought in your mind. Supplant it with a constructive thought. Fear has killed millions. Confidence is greater than fear. Nothing is more powerful than faith in God/Source and the good."
