MAY THEIR MEMORY BE ETERNAL

MAY THEIR MEMORY BE ETERNAL

As we spend time reflecting upon those who have left us, there is a common phrase repeated by many that says "may their memory be eternal." In the Greek, when someone passes, they say “αιώνια η μνήμη” (ay-oh-nee-ah ee mnee-meen) which means “memory eternal”, a reminder that as long as we remember someone, they will always be with us.

Looking deeper into what this means, we must understand that each of us is eternal energy and an individualized essence of the whole of universal consciousness. Like a ray of sunlight, emanating from the same source. In the same way that a ray of light cannot be separated from it's Source, we cannot be separated from ours. And it is that Source that we are one with ... eternal, and ever existing.

Like sound waves, vibrations, UV light ... there are aspects and principles that are unseen. These are the ties that bind. All things are one with the universe. Our ego desires separation and self-centered control of ourself and others but this is an illusion. There are no things ... there is only one ... and collectively, we are that One.

u·ni·verse
/ˈyo͞onəˌvərs/
"all existing matter and space considered as a whole; the cosmos."

Modern science has now taken the ancient path of Plato who put it this way: "The universe is a single living creature that encompasses all living creatures within it." The Greek Philosopher Pythagoras first used the term cosmos (κόσμος) for the order of the universe. Also, from the Greek: κόσμος (Kosmos) means world, people, cosmos, universe.

The memory of our loved ones will never fade. It is forever woven into the fiber of consciousness ... the Field, or Matrix. Our physical existence will fade away and to the earth our bodies and our ego will return, but our Spirit will always live on. Life is the 360 degree never ending circle of I AM. I EXIST.

In the beginning, was heaven and earth translates as Spirit, and Matter. Father and Mother, as seen by the ancients. Energy was never created, and can never die. It always was, and always will be.

When our loved ones are re-membered, we honour these loved ones who have passed (passed over) ... know they are right here with you. In the unobservable realm of the higher dimension of Spirit. Nothing ever goes away.

May you find peace and acceptance when facing the loss of a loved one. And may their memory be eternal.

SHIP ON THE HORIZON AND LIFE TRANSITION

SHIP ON THE HORIZON AND LIFE TRANSITION

This chapter is inspired by a poem written by Bishop Charles Henry Brent(1862-1929) titled "The Sailing Ship." I ran across it while reading a fascinating book titled "conversations With Tom - An Adventure In After Death Communication" by Walda Woods.

The poem paints such a powerful portrait of the transition from this life, to the afterlife; and the next life.

"I am standing on the seashore.
A ship sails to the morning breeze and starts for the ocean.
She is an object - and I stand watching her
Till at last she fades from the horizon,
And someone at my side says, “She is gone!” Gone where?
Gone from my sight, that is all;
She is just as large in the masts,
hull and spars as she was when I saw her,
And just as able to bear her load of living freight
to its destination.
The diminished size and total loss of sight is in me,
not in her;
And just at the moment when someone at my side says,
"She is gone",
There are others who are watching her coming,
And other voices take up a glad shout,
"Here she comes" – and that ... is dying."
-Bishop Brent

So as we lose sight of the ship on the horizon, the ship remains with us. Where else would it go? To our perception, it grows smaller and smaller until it fades from view ... but this is only OUR perspective from where we stand. The ship remains the same size, with the same abilities, and the same purpose. We just can't see it anymore.

But on the other side of the horizon, people see it coming, not going. it grows larger and larger the closer it gets to their perspective and where THEY stand. When ultimately they see her directly in front of them, they see her true glory.

This is such an amazing view of crossing over from one world to the next. From the seen to the unseen. From the observable to the unobservable. And WE ... as the Observer in life ... are witness to the experience. There are none who are lost. Where else would they go? We are all in One Universe, and all experiences that ever were and ever will be are already here in the present moment. In the NOW.

This is such a difficult process to accept, but consider in this way. You've "lost" your car keys. But you know they are here, somewhere, or else you would not search for them. They were misplaced, but they still exist. Where else would they go? If you have lost a loved one, they are not "lost," they have simply passed into another realm that is not in the same vibrating frequencies as we are. All matter is merely vibrating energy, and energy cannot be created, or destroyed.

In closing, everything in reality is ONE thing. We are all a piece of the entire essence of the Universe - God/Source Energy. We are all connected through the Matrix of consciousness. We are as much a part of the invisible air as a fish is with water. If you believe yourself to be separate, you’re captive by illusion, rather than free with Truth. All that ever was … is right here and right now. In this present moment. This is where Life inspires, and expires, with every breath we take.

THE RAISING OF LAZARUS AND THE ORIGINS

RAISING OF LAZARUS SYMBOLISM AND ORIGINS

Anyone raised in the Christian Church knows the story of the raising of Lazarus of Bethany from his death in the tomb. This, is a preview of Jesus' own resurrection later in the story. The two, are one.

Here we have a clear deception contained in the Bible that is not only an unhistorical event, but it is yet another copy of an earlier story that came to the writers - from the Egyptians. Just as Jesus traveled to Bethany to raise his friend Lazarus, Horus traveled to Bethanu to raise his Father. Even the names Mary, Martha, and Lazarus all came from Egypt - except their names were Meri, Merti, and El-Azar-us. The name "Bethanu" means "House of God" and was originally used for the Egyptian God Anu.

These stories were known among the ancient world and therefore had symbolic deeper meanings. As always, this is the deeper esoteric message within the surface story. In this story, Lazarus was the brother of Mary (a very important ancient symbolic name) and Martha. Lazarus, like Jesus; represents “Life Principle in Involution” and this must die so that Evolution can occur. This is the representation of biologic Life ... the Glory of God. For Lazarus it was a 4 day wait, for Jesus it was 3 days, and John writes of 3 and a half days. In the same was as the raising of Lazarus came to us via Egypt, the raising of Jairus' daughter came to us from India. It was Krishna who raised a young girl from the dead, as Christ did with Jairus' daughter. Even the wording in each story is highly similar.

The raising of the dead is a typical supernatural event in the Godman myth cycles and has it's symbolism in the Inner Mysteries not in reanimating dead flesh in a literal and historical sense. That, is for another day. Remember also, that these myth cycles not only have their spiritual message, but they are tied to the cycle of the Zodiac and it's 12 houses. The patterns of the heavens, the planets (Planetos means wanderer in Greek), the stars, and the entire sun cycle through the seasons.

Remember, in order for a seed to grow, it must first die - be buried in the ground as our souls are buried in matter. The ancient Greeks had a term "soma-sema" meaning the body (soma) is a tomb (sema). These seeds must have a garden in which to grow. Jesus would be found in the Garden of Gethsemane. After the resurrection story, the “Mary's” mistake him as a Gardener. So much mythology, so much symbolism, so much deeper allegorical teachings. Remember, a “myth” did not have the meaning back then as it does now. Among the ancients, a myth was used in delivery of a deeper message. To borrow from Joseph Campbell: “a myth is something that never was, yet always is.” One must study the words and phrases of scripture in the original Hebrew and Greek to find the keys to unlock the Inner Mysteries ... the revelation of the message. The Greek word "Apocalypsis" (apocalypse) means to unveil, to uncover that which is hidden.

LIGHT OF LIFE

LIGHT OF LIFE

When a light bulb burns out, we say that it is “dead.” It becomes inert … lifeless. But the Source of life … light … is endless energy. The filament in the light bulb receives the light, yet when it no longer is able to receive the light … it is considered to be dead. But the Source of that light, the very light itself, is unaffected.

This is the same for you, and for me. Our bodies receive the light … the light of consciousness … and we live our Life powered by the Source of Life itself. When the body dies, the light of our consciousness lives on. In fact, since energy cannot be created or destroyed, the light that is the true us ... is eternal in nature.

Our thoughts, our soul, our true Self is the power source that provides light so that we may live. When the light goes out, leaves the body, we leave behind the inert (dead) physical body, but our consciousness never skips a beat.

Just like the light bulb, we are enclosed in an physical environment that allows our presence to be seen from the inside out. The Source of all light, life, and energy … is One. For many, this One is God, or Source. The Absolute.

When we come to the understanding that all is One, and One is all there is … then we begin to understand that what we do to others, we do to ourselves. We are the aperture for which the Universe is experiencing itself through us … with us … AS US.

MATCH FLAME

MATCH FLAME

If we were to strike a match, fire will germinate. Scientists say that fire is the result of combustion, but this is a weak explanation when presented in a metaphysical sense. The fire that germinates from the match ... is contained WITHIN the match. Only when we strike the match do we free it from imprisonment, and the flame appears. We can say then, that fire in itself, is not the result of combustion, but rather, combustion is the result of the fire.

You see, Life unfolds itself from instant to instant, moment to moment; "The Christ" is the sacred fire, the cosmic, sacred fire. The hand that strikes the match so that the flame appears has fire, life, otherwise it would not be able to move. After the match “dies off,” the flame continues to exist ... in the realm of the unseen. The fire always was, always is, and always will be.

Energy can appear and disappear in the same way you light a match. When you light the match, the flame emerges seemingly from nowhere, we think, but in reality that light comes from liberated atoms in the matchstick. That flame will only burn as long as there is energy there. When that energy is exhausted, that flame is exhausted. It becomes inert ... inactive ... but still within the realm of the Universe.

In this same way, WE do not come INTO the world (matter), we come OUT of it. Just as a leaf comes out of a branch, and the branch out of the tree, and the tree from the seed. Contained within the seed, is not merely one tree, but an entire orchard. The Earth populates itself in the same way. For example, as the ocean "waves," the Universe "peoples."

Mother Earth recycles everything. The whole of Life is cyclical. Energy never dies. It was Einstein (E=mc2) who proved matter, is energy at its lowest point of vibration.

“Concerning matter, we have been all wrong. What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. There is no matter.”
~Albert Einstein

Everything has its ups and downs. Vibrational waves that travel above and below ... and within consciousness ... there is also this undulation. What we see as physical death, is merely an undulation of consciousness. We never really die, and we were never really born ... we always were and always will be.

The Philosopher Alan Watts so eloquently asked:
“Try to imagine what it will be like to go to sleep and never wake up. Now, try to imagine what it was like to wake up having never gone to sleep.”

Every individual is an expression of the entire realm of nature. There are no “things” ... there is but One thing. This thing, is all there IS. It is the I AM ... the Being of Life ... God, Presence, Life, Absolute, Origin, and any other label you wish to use. With each and every breath we take, we live and die as one single organism ... the Universe as a whole. Inspiration, and expiration ... breath on, breath off.

SOUND OF THE VOID

SOUND OF THE VOID

This subject is going to take some deep thought and concentration on your part. It might get a bit confusing, but it will all fall together I promise you.

The illusion is powerful, but not total. If we were completely cut off from an awareness of what lies beyond, chances are we would be perfectly content. Think about that for just a moment. There would be no reason to question ourselves or our existence ... no drive to continuously experience more. No conscious concept of something beyond ... something MORE than just this.

But we are NOT cut off completely. That spark burns inside. A glimmer of the Infinite light from before Creation surrounds and permeates each person who walks this earth. This light is what gives us the profound sense that there is something else out there ... and in here. Only the something doesn’t always feel like an actual ... “something.” It often feels like .... “something missing” - more like a void. This was what I personally experienced during a major surgery that I had.

I was in pre-op, 55 degrees in room, covered in a sheet on a stainless steel gurney; and waiting for my surgeon who was delayed. I got to lay there and listen to everyone else's legal rights be explained. Should they not survive through the procedure, etc. In those moments ... I entered the VOID. I felt abandoned and helpless. At the mercy of “something.” I was then overcome with a feeling of aloneness ... or was it all-oneness? In the silence, and before the pre-op cocktail, I found God/Source ... there ... in the VOID. The nothing ... that is something. The “Ayin,” the place of total beginning. Where emptiness, nothingness, and a place of what seemed the land of all that is not ... yet ... this is the place where limitless and boundless possibilities are formed. It's like the number Zero. It isn't “nothing,” it's a whole number with value. So ... is the void.

I began to think deeply about it this event ... since after I had completed the procedure, I had plenty of recovery and rehab time. I was in ICU, experiencing intense unimaginable pain for 15 days and nights. I kept thinking about this void. In some ways I imagined it as total abandonment from God/Source. Having just bailed and left me on my own to fend for myself and the others that had been trusted with my care. But then, this missing element in my Mind, began to go from left brain logic to right brain limitlessness possibilities ... and I understood that what hovers at the edge of our consciousness, threatening our comfortable sense of solidity and bringing with it an essential longing for…. well, for something. Something more. Something more than this.

This sensation of something missing is actually the glimmer of something that is there, but too vast and amazing to be perceived by our ordinary senses. But as physical beings in a physical world, we are not naturally inclined to relate to it in this esoteric way. In fact, the non-physical all too often makes us feel vulnerable and uncomfortable. So, instead of slowly allowing our eyes to adjust to this more subtle light, we choose to avoid the experience altogether, or seek to fill the void with physical things. Things that never amount to “enough.”

The subtle awareness of the void pulls us relentlessly toward the next high, the next success, the more exciting relationship, the bigger, flashier toy. The feelings it triggers - like sadness, depression, anxiety or dissatisfaction – drive us to eat too much, drink too much, work too much, spend too much, need too much; in short, whatever it takes to avoid facing the threatening insubstantiality of it all.

But, as uncomfortable and threatening as it can feel, if you are willing to face the discomfort, to stop running and listen, you can begin to explore the secret of the void, to expand your ability to see and hear things that lie outside your normal range. In that void ... in that uncomfortable place of darkness, is where you will find the light. This VOID is a place of limitless possibility ... unbounded creativity ... and the origin of all that is.

Like a beautiful dream whose impression lingers, like a song that stirs memories and feelings from long ago, like a perfume that lingers faintly in the air, the music of the void can stir forgotten memories and open your heart. It can speak to you of where you came from, where you are destined to go and who you are destined to be. Step out of your comfortable awareness, and venture beyond ... go to those places where you find uncomfortable. Face your fears ... and they will dissolve into the illusion that they really are.
