EVENING THEN MORNING 

For this writing, I am going to focus on some biblical scriptures that have some deep allegorical, metaphorical, and symbolic meaning beyond just the paper and ink. So, let’s start at the beginning. 

"And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day." 

~Genesis 1:5 (KJV)

The words which we find in the modern English Language Bible that translators interpret as "morning" and "evening" in Genesis 1, do not actually equate with our English words for those phenomena. In Hebrew, they actually mean "chaos/disorder" and "order" respectively.

Place yourself for a moment in the days when there was no electricity, and no lighting. When the sun went down, vision became blurry and disordered, and with the break of day it cleared. After all, what can be seen in darkness? The light pushes darkness out of the way and brings clarity into our lives in so many ways.

In the creation account of Genesis, the light existed BEFORE the sun and the stars were ever set in place. This was the light … of consciousness. We were brought out of the darkness, and into the light. Now lets move forward towards several other books contained in the Bible. 

"I Jesus, have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and MORNING STAR."

 "As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

~John 9:5 (KJV)

 "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God ..."

~2 Corinthians 4:6 (KJV)

"And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever."

Now consider this - it is the same as when ours eyes are closed - we are in darkness. We are in chaos. This is the only time we can truly see inside ourselves. Without the light of the world, we will stay in chaos, with our eyes figuratively closed through Life. Our consciousness IS our light. It is our Mind that perceives everything, and remember that our brain is always in total darkness (inside our skull) … our entire Life. 

When we open our eyes, we see the light from the inside out, and the order of all of God's creation. The Morning Star represented mythically as Jesus Christ pushes the darkness and chaos out of our sight ... if we set our sights on the Divine Spark of Christ Consciousness within us. In the same manner, the Morning Star (Phosphorus in Greek, Lucifer in Latin - the Planet Venus) arrives each day to usher in the Morning Sun (Sun of God). See the connection? By the way, “Lucifer” is not the Devil/Satan. Only the King James Bible uses this term. But thats for another writing. See my chapter on Lucifer for details. 

WE will experience restoration and order in our lives ... just as the morning Sun brings ORDER from CHAOS. 

Awaken and open your eyes to see all that Life has to offer. Too much time in darkness with your eyes closed, and you'll stay asleep rather than be awake, and aware. Physically, spiritually, and consciously.

Also remember the ancient Hebrews began the new "day" at sunset ... nightfall. With the dawn bringing forth the light. Sunset marked the start of the 12 night hours, whereas sunrise marked the start of the 12 day hours. We return back to Genesis 1:5 to see: "There was evening and there was morning, one day." When envisioned as the start of a new day, night loses its dread. It becomes a time of preparation, renewal and anticipation, a period of incubation before a new birth. This was their natural order. From the darkness, comes the light. 

Awaken and open your eyes to see all that life has to offer. Too much time in darkness with your eyes closed, and you'll stay asleep rather than be awake, and aware.

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

In the New Testament Bible Jesus is quoted in Matthew 5:14 as saying “You are the light of the world ...” So what exactly would this mean? Are we a sun of God? Are we describing the light of consciousness? Is it a beacon of hope and navigation for people who have become lost? Well, since we can't exactly ask the Writer, and no personal witnesses remain among us, we have to do the best we can to read between the lines. Between the black ink, and the white paper.

If you have read any of my previous writings, you'll know I search among ancient Wisdom, reason, and science for answers that validate our spiritual beliefs and opinions. This particular quote from the Book of Matthew happens to be one of my favourites from New Testament scripture. 

So, how is it that WE are the “light of the world?” Let's begin with the word “light” from the original Greek in which the New Testament was written in. Strong's Concordance lists the word directly related this verse as #5457 (phos) and it's full definition in English is “light, a source of light, radiance.” Now, let's consider some of the other English words for this Greek word “PHOS.” In the Greek alphabet it would appear this way: φως. 

Used as a NOUN: 

φως - light, limelight

σέλας - light

φανός - lamp, light, lantern, cresset

φωτιά - fire, light

Used as a VERB: 

φωτίζω - illuminate, lighten, illumine, light

ανάπτω - kindle, fire, light

καταβαίνω - light

Used as an ADJECTIVE:

ανάλαφρος - light, tripping

ανοικτός - open, light, overt

ελαφρός - light, slight, gentle, buoyant, feathery, flippant

φωτεινός - light, illuminated, luminous, luminiferous

As you can see, the Greek language is far more descriptive and intricate than English. In fact, the English New Testament Bibles of today, were reduced DOWN to Latin from Greek, and then reduced once again DOWN to the English. Fortunately for me, I spoke Greek before I spoke English and my knowledge of Greek (not as deep as from the old country but nonetheless), has helped me tremendously with my studies and research through the years.

Now let's go science, metaphysics, and quantum physics and leave all these definitions aside for a moment. If WE are the light of the world, then where would that light be located? It would most certainly have to be located WITHIN us ... in order to shine as light would shine. Here's where it gets a little deeper. 

Even though our sensory receptors like sight, hearing, etc. are located on the “outside” of us ... the actual experience of all we perceive and experience happens INSIDE of us. Our sensory receptors send what we see, hear, taste, smell, and feel to the assigned sensory centers in our brain. The “outside” world of “matter” is merely the lowest vibrating frequency of electromagnetic energy. So all of life, is experienced INSIDE our heads. There is no escaping this. We are held captive inside our body. Therefore, and logically, the entire Universe (YOUniverse) comes from the INSIDE out ... not the other way around. 

If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one there to hear it, would it make a sound? NO. Because you need ears and auditory sensory perception ... the hearing center of a brain inside of a head to experience the sound. Otherwise, there is silence. To a person who has no hearing, the world is silent ... because the experience of the sounds come from INSIDE their head. Inside THEM. 

All of our life's experiences are taking place and being defined ... inside the darkness of our skull which will NEVER be exposed to light from an OUTSIDE world. It's all electrical energy all the way down to a cellular level ... to the mitochondria power supply of every living thing. And EVERYTHING has consciousness and is alive ... even rocks and other inanimate objects. There are protons, electrons, neurons, photons, hydrogen, oxygen, and so many things that “come without observation” as the Kingdom of Heaven/God does. It's all in our heads. The light comes FROM US and not to us. A blind person cannot see the light because his blindness is in his head ... the vision center of the brain. Therefore, the LIGHT comes from within, not without. 

Genesis tells us: “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light “God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning - the first day.” And yet, the sun wasn’t created until the fourth day. Is this first light, the light of consciousness? Was this the point in which the Universe became aware of its own being, of its creative powers ... of its Divine Consciousness? 

The entirety of the universe comes from within us and joins all things as One. The Universe, time, etc ... is going THAT way not this way. John 17:21 has Jesus quoted as saying “that they may all be ONE, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us ...” This entire universe comes from within, and WE are the light of the world. In ACTS 17 we find “For IN HIM we live, and move, and have our being ...” WE make the sun shine. WE make the Moon glow. As hard as it is to believe this, it is scientifically, spiritually, metaphysically, esoterically, and philosophically correct. So, shine on my friend ... the earth needs you!

LIGHT OF LIFE

LIGHT OF LIFE

When a light bulb burns out, we say that it is “dead.” It becomes inert … lifeless. But the Source of life … light … is endless energy. The filament in the light bulb receives the light, yet when it no longer is able to receive the light … it is considered to be dead. But the Source of that light, the very light itself, is unaffected. 

This is the same for you, and for me. Our bodies receive the light … the light of consciousness … and we live our Life powered by the Source of Life itself. When the body dies, the light of our consciousness lives on. In fact, since energy cannot be created or destroyed, the light that is the true us ... is eternal in nature. 

Our thoughts, our soul, our true Self is the power source that provides light so that we may live. When the light goes out, leaves the body, we leave behind the inert (dead) physical body, but our consciousness never skips a beat.

Just like the light bulb, we are enclosed in an physical environment that allows our presence to be seen from the inside out. The Source of all light, life, and energy … is One. For many, this One is God, or Source. The Absolute. 

When we come to the understanding that all is One, and One is all there is … then we begin to understand that what we do to others, we do to ourselves. We are the aperture for which the Universe is experiencing itself through us … with us … AS US.

DEEPER LOOK AT THE LIGHT OF LIFE

DEEPER LOOK AT THE LIGHT OF LIFE

“No one has ascended into heaven but he who has descended from heaven, the Son of man.”

-John 3:13

In the outer interpretation (exoteric and literal), according to most leaders and followers of modern day Christianity … the “Son of man” ... is Jesus.

According to this modern Christian interpretation, Jesus came down from Heaven, was born into a human body, and only HE can ascend back up into heaven. Jesus is a Divine being, not like the rest of us mere mortals. We certainly cannot do what Jesus has done right? And yet, in the New Testament he is quoted as saying “you will do greater things than I.” How do we rectify this?

In some of these outer/exoteric/literal interpretations, Jesus is actually God, not just the Son of God. We are considered to be lowly sinners, forever enslaved by Original Sin, and can never be what Jesus was.

In the inner interpretation (esoteric), the “Son of man” is the Spirit within, specifically, the awakened Spirit within.

Among the ancient traditions, there are TWO aspects of God; a masculine, and a feminine. The feminine aspect is referred to as Sophia, meaning Wisdom, the creative aspect, also referring to the emotional aspect of God, which is unconditional love. The masculine aspect, refers to knowledge and knowing (gnosis).

When the feminine and masculine aspect of God combine, a third component is created; the pure white light ... the anointing, Christ (the child/offspring). This pure white light is the living light of Spirit (Christ Consciousness), the very same Spirit within every living thing. This living light of Spirit is the SOURCE of our personal Life.

“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.”

-Matthew 5:14

“While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

-John 9:5

“You, LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.”

-Psalm 18:28

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

-John 8:12

“Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.”

-John 12:36

“Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are healthy,your whole body also is full of light. But when they are unhealthy,your body also is full of darkness.”

-Luke 11:34

What is born of Spirit, IS Spirit. We are ALL born of God/Source. The Spirit within us is the very substance of God/Source Energy, and as such, cannot die or be destroyed. Our Life-force Energy will leave behind the body. We have eternal Life because the Spirit within us IS the substance of God, which also has eternal Life. It is a function of what we are. Jesus was quoted as asking us to “follow him,” NOT worship him. He expected us to do the things he did, and to become like him.

John 14:12

“Timeless truth, I tell you: whoever believes in me, those works which I have done he will also do, and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to the presence of my Father.”

And I close with this quote from the the Book of John:

“... because as HE is, so are WE in this world.”

ITS ALL INSIDE YOUR HEAD

IT’S ALL IN YOUR HEAD

We all probably learned this way back in high school, but here's a recap for you anyway. It takes 8½ minutes for the light from the sun, traveling 186,000 miles per second, to reach us here on Earth. That means that the sun we see isn’t the “real” sun. It’s the sun that was out there 8 ½ minutes ago. We missed it ... and we always will.

In fact, absolutely everything we see is not the real thing. It’s the thing that it was a split second ago, when our eyes turned it into electrical signals and sent it to the vision center in the back of our brain, where it was interpreted as sunlight. Reminder ... the sun (and everything else you see) is in your brain’s Vision Center (in your head), not “out there" somewhere. You can fly from New York to London and you did it all inside your head.

Our genius brain has a way to convince us that it’s all happening right now. But we can only see the past. In true reality, there is no such thing as the present. Think about that for a moment. If you try to grab the present moment, it’s already in the past, no matter how hard you try to break the experience down into the tiniest of nano-seconds. It has already “passed.” What we truly have is NOW, and it changes to a new NOW every nanosecond.

Einstein said nothing travels faster than light. So someday, when the sun completely burns out (which it inevitably will), we actually won’t know about it here on earth until the very last light rays reach us ... 8 ½ minutes later. That moment will be fascinating (well sort-of) for science, if we’re still living - which we probably won’t be for long, unless we’ve made plans to move elsewhere. And given the level of real world planning we’ve seen lately, I’m not very optimistic that a new place of residence will ever become reality.

But then, what if a psychic says, “Last night I had a dream that the sun burned out - we’ve got about 8 minutes left" So what does that do to Einstein’s theory? Some things must travel faster than the speed of light. What Einstein meant was that nothing you can measure in Consensus Reality (the logical reality we all agree upon) travels faster than the speed of light. 

But the psychic’s prediction is in Non-Consensus Reality, and telepathy, thoughts, dreams, and a whole host of things that can’t be measured. Some of us would believe the prediction, some of us wouldn’t. And honestly, if the sun burned out, it probably wouldn’t matter much either way. 

Yet it suggests that there is already a future out there that can be grabbed and experienced right now, and that the past and the future co-exist on some level. If some form of the future is already there, then there’s no traveling at all. And that ... is MUCH faster than the speed of light.

Everything we perceive through our senses as “external stuff,” or matter - like the coffee table, a bird, the sidewalk, the mountains, your neighbor, cars and boats, the earth, the cosmos - is in reality, merely only electrical signals in our brain. That’s it. Electrical signals. What we call “matter” is merely vibrational energy manifesting at the lowest frequency of vibration. 

We see a colorful bird in our external world. But it’s not really “out there,” it’s inside our head. It's perceived, identified and labeled, in the pitch dark reality in our heads. It is the transfer of electrical perceptive energy being analyzed by and in our brain where it is identified, labelled, and communicated to us what it is. 

The light particles reflect off the bird, enter our eyes, and are converted into electrical signals that get transmitted by neurons to the vision center all the way in the back of our brain. And the Vision Center is this tiny dark place that interprets the electrical signals, and somehow “tells” us what we’re seeing.

Just to remind you, your brain, completely encased in your skull, is sealed off from light. Its interior is in absolute darkness. It is impossible for the brain to have any direct contact with light itself. Think about that for a minute. The brain is never illuminated. It is always in total pitch darkness. Yet we see the flaming light of a burning candle, the sun burns brightly, and we watch a brilliantly colorful and magnificently lit world inside our totally dark brain ... NOT outside of it.

All our OTHER senses are perceived and interpreted in the brain in the same way. Through electrical signals and energy transference. In fact, our brain, throughout our lives, NEVER, EVER, confronts the original version of the matter existing “out there.” It is an impossibility. It only gets the electrical copy. We think that these copies are instances of real stuff outside of us, but we are deeply misled my friend.

Distance is just a feeling of space that is formed in your brain. And so colours are also added in our head as hues - frequencies of different ranges. Looking at the stars, we know and sense that they’re gazillions of light years away. But in actuality, the stars are right inside you, in the vision center of your brain.

Mind blown yet? How about this. Right now you are not actually inside of a room - but the room is inside of you. And seeing your body makes you think you are inside of it, but your body is just a sensory image and experience formed inside your brain. So, your body, is actually INSIDE your brain as well.

The only reality we actually cope with, is the world of perceptions we experience within our Mind. And since we can never really reach the external world, ask yourself - how can we possibly be sure that it actually exists?

Maybe the brain, in all of its darkness and isolation, makes it all up so it won’t be lonely and bored. Maybe as a spiritual and not a physical being, we got bored and hit the SURPRISE button and here we are ... having this perceptual experience. And just one more for kicks ... since the brain can actually perceive itself ... the brain is ALSO inside the brain.
