ORIGINS OF THE FLOOD STORIES

ORIGINS OF THE FLOOD STORIES

Flood stories are found in every civilization across the globe, and there is much confusion connected with their meaning. Was it a real flood? Was it really worldwide? Was it a story with w deeper Truth contained beneath the surface story? They often refer to giants or ancient humanities, Divine incarnations which point extremely far back in time ... back to pre-history.

Throughout the area of Egypt/Kemet, in ancient times the Nile Delta became flooded. It was a great tragedy that happened every year. This great flood would come and wash away the Eyptian world. The people of these times called these waters "The Waters of Chaos," due simply to the fact that the flooding was horrible, and highly destructive.

But, they also brought new Life. Because without The Waters of Chaos returning on an annual basis, the deserts would be totally dry and nothing would ever grow. Obviously, if nothing grew, famine would be eminent and evident. They discovered over the course of time that Chaos was indeed a blessing that actually brought new Life to the valley.

Spring would be a beautiful time in Egypt due to the waters of chaos bringing fresh nutrients for plants and food to grow. The people of the Nile Valley would then celebrate the coming of the the Waters of Chaos, for they soon learned that with them, they would bring the renewal of Life that was so desperately needed for their survival.

They called this celebration in Egypt ... "THE ARGHA NOA." Not the ARK (ARCH) OF NOAH .... but ARGHA NOA. The "Argha Noa" was the coming of the great flood that washed away the old world and brought new Life ... and for the people of Egypt ... a rebirth - "Born Again." The moon was always in the lower quarter, this quarter of the moon became known as THE ARGHA NOA or THE WET MOON, often resembling an arch in the sky. Notice the resemblance to the YIN AND YANG of Life when looking at it's symbol? The light and the dark, as observed since the earliest civilizations. The duality of ONE. This is the Law of Polarity. Two opposites of one thing. Hot and cold, day and night, heavy and light, etc.

The Esoteric science describes an inner spiritual continuity of being, combined with catastrophisim, tieing many sources of ancient Wisdom and history. The ancients knew very well what they studied, and perhaps better than those of more recent modern times. They looked to astronomy, geognosy, and cosmography. They knew that the Earth and its behaviour has been altered more than once since the primitive state of existence.

Geognosy comes from a combination of two Greek words. The word "Gaia" means Earth, and "gnosis" means "knowing" or knowledge. I'm early myth, Gaia was the ancient Greek goddess and symbol of the earth (Mother Earth). Many deluges appear in many traditions world-wide. The first are cosmic, the rest, as Noahs Arc(h), are terrestrial.

The Mother of all floods refers to the Cosmos, the Gods of the skies (Ouranos/Heaven). It refers to the Waters of Space which became the Life and death giving waters of earth.  Ancient spiritual traditions and Wisdom viewed all things such as atoms, planets, solar systems, and universes ... as living beings. Divine in essense, the many sparks of one cosmic fire, over immense periods of time there is constant ebb and flow of the various waves of universal and planetary life, with Karma as the Divine harmony of the absolute consciousness. This is the Universal Law of Cause and Effect.

Interpreting the Biblical flood story

Noah floating on the waters in his arch, the latter being the emblem of The Argha or Moon, the feminine principle. Noah is the spirit falling into matter, we find him as soon as he desends upon the earth.

Planting of the vineyard, drinking of the wine ... the pure spirit becoming intoxicated
as soon as it is imprisoned in matter, becoming personified. The ancient Greeks called this "Soma/Sema." Soma means body, sema means tomb. Therefore the body is a tomb in which our Soul is trapped. Looking at the 7th chapter of Genesis, we see but another version of the first unveiled Isis. Genesis transliterated, Genes of Isis ... or in Greek - birth or beginnings, creation.

Taking this myth, and other more ancient stories, we can see that the arch vessel floating on the abyss of waters often signifies the female generative power carrying the gene of nature and mankind. Again, creation through the Divine feminine.

Mystically the Divine Spirit of Life, like Noah, emerges from Chaos. Noah's deluge is astronomical and allegorical. It is a celestial metaphor. But its foundation and true meaning behind the story is not false, only personified, for the story is based upon archaic traditions of men - or rather nations which were saved during cataclysms, in Canoes, archs (arks), and ships. Esoterically, but for another day, the Ark is also US.

Legends have all spung from catastrophes which involved both the continent and the Island of Atlantis (and Lemuria). In ancient mythology the universe itself was a conversation between order and chaos, or the Yin and Yang ... along with the Universal Law of Polarity. Everything has it's waves, up and down. Ocean waves, light waves, sound waves, motion - ebb and flow. It's just the way it is ... and it is immutable Universal Law.

Just a thought ...

EMERALD TABLETS AND THE KYBALION

Emerald Tablet And The Kybalion

An Egyptian legend, tells us about the The Emerald Tablet Of Hermes & The Kybalion, written by the thrice great Hermes Trimegistus (Thoth/Enoch). In the tablet, Hermes Trismegistus, discusses the process of creation, and the Law of One summarized in the quotation “As Above, So Below, As Below So Above.”

The Principle Of Correspondence

This Principle embodies the Truth that there is always a Correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the various planes of Being and Life. The old Hermetic axiom ran in these words: “As above, so below; as below, so above.” And the grasping of this Principle gives one the means of solving many a dark paradox, and hidden secrets of Nature.

There are planes beyond our knowing, but when we apply the Principle of Correspondence to them, we are able to better understand much that would otherwise be unknowable to us. This Principle is of universal application and manifestation, on the various planes of the material, mental, and spiritual universe, It is one of the Universal Laws.

The ancient Hermetists considered this Principle as one of the most important mental instruments by which man was able to pry aside the obstacles which hid from view - the Unknown. Its use even tore aside the Veil of Isis to the extent that a glimpse of the face of the goddess might be caught. Just as a knowledge of the Principles of Geometry enables man to measure distant suns and their movements, while seated in his observatory, so a knowledge of the Principle of Correspondence enables Man to reason intelligently from the Known - to the Unknown.

The Higher, The Colder

Since the dawn of civilization, human beings have always been in a lifelong quest for the very fabric of universal reality, - the Matrix (or Field of Consciousness). As you peer into the veil of reality through Science, Philosophy, and Religion ... they all seem to seek the meaning of Life. Religion seeks the Universal and loving "Father," while in Philosophy they seek the Person who is self existence and requires no other being for existence, and science seeks the first cause. “As you approach to the peak of the mountain all routes point to the same peak.”

We Are All Connected

Life is teamed up with countless creatures. There are creatures that crawl on the surface of earth, there are those who swim deep down in the abyss, and those who fly high in the blue sky … and yet they all eat, breathe, and give birth to their offspring. It is a continuous cycle. There are over a million types of bacteria invisible to the naked eye, yet a single one is as important as anything else in life, they are responsible in the process of a lot of things … like in the process of cheese manufacturing, making of a beer, decomposition of waste products, etc. In the chaos theory, a butterfly may be flapping it’s wings in New Zealand, and may cause a catastrophic tornado in Ecuador. This theory/process gets much deeper in Quantum Physics and String Theory.

Heaven And Earth

The heavens are portrayed on the earth. With the rotation of the earth on it’s own axis we get day and night. When the earth revolves around the sun, we get the seasons of the year. Some surgeons avoid surgery during the high tides simply due to the fact that the patient may have severe bleeding more so than during the low tides. In Astrology they believe that the planets affect people’s behaviour relative to their positions in the solar system. The sun provides all energy on earth and if it weren't for the sun, plants would not be able to break down carbon dioxide to provide us with oxygen and make simple sugar such as starch. Some micro-organisms respond to the temperature and pressure in the atmosphere as well.

The Footprints of Reflection

The decisions that we make every single moment plays a big role in shaping our lives, yet it’s not easy to notice, that thoughts are vibrational energy, the drift velocity of electrons vibrating in the neurons. As for now “vibration,” can be regarded as the very fabric of reality according to string theory. Vibrations is everywhere from the smallest particles to the largest heaven bodies, the six senses that we perceive through out sensory organs (in our brain) are all in the form of vibration. Waves and particles.

The electrons vibrate as well, In cosmology we see that everything revolves around bigger objects. Galaxies revolve around black holes, suns revolves around galaxies, planets revolve around the suns, even people with strong personalities have others with weaker personalities around them. When you move into the microscopic world, it behaves the same as electrons revolving around the nucleus. as you go up and down, in and out, you find the same pulsating phenomenon repeating itself.

Circle of Life

It is the same with Life. When you look into the cells, you see that there is always a nucleus that is the center of the cell. In the physical world you will find out that there has to be a source of water or at least food somewhere for Life itself to exist. Take a look at any huge city. There are always natural resources that tend to run that city. And on a much larger scale, as the earth spins on it’s own axis - we get day and night - and when it revolves around the sun, we get the seasons of the year. And, when the sun revolves around the galaxy we get the astrological ages. Everything has a pulsation, heart beat, breathing in and out, day and night, consciousness, etc. Since there is correspondence in everything, as everything reflects the other, we should treat each other as One, because we exist as part, AND The Whole. We are an individualized essence of the entire universe ... each being a piece of one complete puzzle.

CREATION MYTHS OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS

CREATION MYTHS OF ANCIENT CIVILIZATIONS

Here are some short summaries of ancient creation stories of how the world and mankind (or the gods who produced mankind) came to be. These creation myths all seemed to start from chaos, a primordial soup, an egg, womb, or other object. Generally, chaos in some form, precedes the separation of Heaven (Spirit/unseen) from earth (matter/form). An transition from chaos to order. Let’s begin.

Greek Creation
In the beginning was Chaos. Then came Earth which produced Sky. Covering Earth each night, Sky fathered children upon her. Earth was personified as Gaia/Terra and sky was Ouranos (Uranus). Their children included the Titan parents of most of the Olympian gods and goddesses, as well as many other creatures, including the Cyclopes, Giants, Hecatonchires, Erinyes, and more. Aphrodite was the offspring of Ouranos.

Norse Creation
In Norse mythology, there was only a chasm, Ginnungagap, in the beginning (somewhat like the Greeks' Chaos) bounded on either side by fire and ice. When fire and ice met, they combined to form a giant, named Ymir, and a cow, named Audhumbla, to nourish Ymir. She survived by licking the salty ice blocks. From her licking emerged Bur, the grandfather of the Aesir.

Bible Creation
The first book of the Old Testament is the Book of Genesis. In it is an account of the creation of the world by God in 6 days. God created, in pairs, first the Heaven and the Earth, then day and night, land and sea, flora and fauna, and male and female. Man was created in the image of God, and Eve was formed from one of Adam's ribs [side] (or man and woman were created together). On the seventh day God rested. Adam and Eve were eventually expelled from the Garden of Eden.

Rig Veda Creation
Here is the one most like the preceding myths. Before the Divine pair of Earth and Sky, who created the gods, was another god, Tvastr, the “first fashioner.” Tvastr created Earth and Sky, as a dwelling place, and many other things. Tvastr was a universal impregnator who made other things reproduce. It is said that although Tvastr was the first dynamic force, before him were the inanimate, inactive Cosmic Waters.

Chinese Creation
The Chinese creation story comes from the end of the 3 Kingdoms period. Heaven and Earth were in a state of chaos or cosmic egg for 18,000 years. When it broke apart, the high and clear formed Heaven, the dark formed Earth, and P'an-ku (coiled-up antiquity) stood in the middle supporting and stablilizing. P'an-ku kept growing for another 18,000 years during which time Heaven also grew. Another version of the P'an-ku (the first-born) story tells of it becoming earth, sky, stars, moon, mountains, rivers, soil, etc. Parasites feeding on P’an-ku’s body, impregnated by wind, became human beings.

Mesopotamian Creation
The Babylonian Enuma Elish tells an ancient Mesopotamian story of creation. Apsu and Tiamat, fresh and salt water, mixed together, created the great and too noisy gods. Apsu wished to kill them, but Tiamat, who wished them no harm, prevailed. Apsu was killed, so Tiamat sought revenge. Marduk killed Tiamat and divided her, using part for earth and part for the heavens. Mankind was made out of Tiamat's second husband.

Egyptian Creation
There are various Egyptian creation stories and they changed over time. One version is based on the Ogdoad of Hermopolis, another on the Heliopolitan Ennead, and another on the Memphite theology. One Egyptian story of creation is that the Chaos Goose and the Chaos Gander produced an egg that was the sun, Ra (Re). Also, the Book of the Dead, describes how the world was created by Atum, the god of Heliopolis, the centre of the sun-god cult in Lower Egypt. In the beginning, the world appeared as an infinite expanse of dark and directionless waters, named Nun.

Zoroastrian Creation
In the beginning, truth or goodness fought lies or evil until lies got worn out. Truth created a world, basically from a cosmic egg, then lies awoke and tried to destroy creation. It was largely successful, but the seed of the cosmic man escaped, was purified and returned to earth as a plant with stalks growing from either side that were to be the first man and woman. Meanwhile, lies was locked inside the capsule of creation.

And here we have eight of the creation myths that were so deeply believed in ancient times. There are many similarities, as we see mankind doing the best that it can to describe and define its existence here in this world of matter. Perhaps one day, we will know the complete story of creation, and the details of its journey, along with the final goal to be attained by the entirety of the Universe. Until then, we search, and we continue to question all of existence.

ANCIENT EGYPTIAN MYSTERY SCHOOLS

EGYPTIAN MYSTERY SCHOOLS

For more than 3,000 years, the mystery schools of Egypt have epitomized the ultimate in ancient secret Wisdom and knowledge (Gnosis). As in ancient times, certain contemporary scholars and researchers insist that the great teachers who presided over the Egyptian mystery schools had to have come from some extraordinary place.

Perhaps, they were wise masters who survived the destruction of the lost continent of Atlantis and made their way to the early civilization of Egypt, where they helped elevate it to a greatness far in advance of other cultures of those times.

Some have even suggested that the entity known as the god Osiris was an extraterrestrial traveler from the Pleiades, who first visited Egypt in prehistoric times when it was composed of barbaric tribes. Because he came from an advanced extraterrestrial culture, he was considered a god and became the founder of the mystery schools and raised the primitive Egyptians' standard of living to a remarkable degree.

Even many conservative scholars of the history of religion have a sense that the mystery schools of Egypt contain within their teachings a particular knowledge that came, if not from prehistoric times, from ancient times. The earliest human records legible, the Pyramid Texts of Egypt (3000 BCE), contain many prayers that are quoted from a far more ancient period, and it is apparent that the prayers were used in the texts as magical formulas and spells.

The mysterious first initiator into these sacred doctrines was known as Toth and later to the Greeks by his more familiar name of Hermes (Enoch among the Hebrews). Hermes-Toth is a generic name that designates a man, a social order (caste), and a god at the same time. As a man, Hermes-Toth is the originator of a powerful system of magic and its first initiator; as a caste, he represents the priesthood, the repository of ancient Wisdom; as a god, Hermes becomes Mercury, the god who delivers messages to mortals from the Olympiad and the god who initiates mortals into transcendent mysteries. Later, the Greek disciples of this secret tradition would call him Hermes Trismegistus (three times great), and he would be credited for originating the material contained in 42 books of esoteric science.

In the time of the Ramses (1300 BCE), Egypt shone as a beacon light of civilization throughout the known world, and while the leaders of foreign nations sought to barter for the empire's rich produce in order to avert local famines and to make treaties with pharaoh in order to avert his military might, seekers of the divine sciences came from the distant shores of Asia Minor and Greece to study in the sanctuaries with magi and hierophants (priests) who they believed could give them the secrets of immortality.

The students who would be initiates of the mystery schools were well aware that they must undertake the rigors of disciplined study and the training of body, Soul, and Spirit ... for years. They had heard from former initiates that in order to attain the mastery demanded by the priests of the mysteries that the newcomers would undergo a complete restructuring of their physical, moral, and spiritual being.

According to the beliefs of the mysteries, only by developing one's faculties of will, intuition, and reason to an extraordinary degree could one ever gain access to the hidden Divine forces in the Universe. Only through complete mastery of body, Soul, and Spirit could one see beyond death, and perceive the pathways to be taken in the afterlife. Only when one has conquered fate and acquired Divine freedom could he or she, the initiate, become a seer, a magician, and an initiator.

The Greek philosopher Pythagoras (580-500 BCE) learned the secret doctrine of numbers, the heliocentric system of the Universe, music, astrology, astronomy, mathematics, and geometry from the powerful Egyptian Magi. Before he established his own school of philosophy in southern Italy, Pythagoras spent 22 years in the temples of Egypt as an initiate in the ancient mysteries. There were many followers of Pythagoras in the later years.

A particularly interesting aspect of the Egyptian mystery schools is that for centuries the pharaohs themselves were the pupils and instruments of the hierophants, the magicians, who presided over the temples and cults of Isis and Osiris. Each pharaoh received his initiation name from the temple, and the priests were honored with the roles of counselors and advisors to the throne. Some have even referred to the rule of ancient Egypt as government of the initiates.

Although the ancient Egyptians never appeared to produce a philosophical system in the manner of the Greeks or the Romans, the mysteries produced a remarkable number of systematized theologies that dealt with the essential questions about the true nature of humankind and its relationship to the cosmos. The hierophants created theological constructs, and formulated esoteric answers that brought initiates and aspirants to the great religious cities of Heliopolis, Memphis, Hermopolis magna, Abydos, and Thebes.

Most of what we find in the Bible and other ancient scriptures, originated in these Mystery Schools, and the Wisdom, allegories, and teachings of these great minds and philosophers. From among the Egyptians, Greeks, Persians, Hindus, Buddhists, Sumerians, and so many other ancient civilizations, mankind has done his best to find out why we're here, who or what put us here, and what we are to do ... while we are here. In many ways, man has created God/Source through inner consciousness and connecting to the Divine Matrix that ties everything together as a web threaded endlessly since the beginning and continuing to regenerate itself eternally within this universe that is technically ... INSIDE our heads.

ALLEGORY OF “COMING OUT OF EGYPT”

ALLEGORY OF “COMING OUT OF EGYPT”

The word “Egypt” comes to us from the Ancient Greek “Aegyptos,” which is a Greek transliteration of the Kemetic phrase:  Het-Ka-Ptah. Het means place and Ka means: “the physical projection of the soul,” which is the character or aura that attaches itself to the body ... and NOT the body. It also meant black/darkness referring to the rich, black alluvial soil deposited by the Nile River, which allowed the agricultural basis of that civilization to flourish.

In Ancient Hebrew, whenever Egypt or “Mitzraim” is mentioned, it is synonymous with physical and mental Bondage, presented metaphorically as Slavery. The indigenous tradition of the Land of Egypt tells us the civilization was called Khemit, and the people and language were called Khemitian.

Knowing now that scripturally, the word Egypt ... represents the body. When the Ancient Mystery School initiate identified with only the body and the flesh they were considered to be “in captivity.” Therefore, To “come forth out of Egypt” was understood as leaving behind the idea of being merely a body, and discovering the soul. This was the beginning of the Spiritual experience and discovery of the God or Divine Spark within.

Hippolytus wrote about “those who are ignorant” ... “Egyptians in need of departing Egypt” ... that is from their body-centric existence ... believing themselves to be merely physical matter, and nothing more. Allegorically, the ignorant Egyptians represent those “without Gnosis” - without the knowledge of the Divine Spark within them - without the light and existing in darkness. It was this group of people who remained identified with their physical selves (not Higher Self) and who did not possess the “knowledge/Gnosis” ... that they we are all Divine Sparks of God entrapped in these fleshy and carnal bodies.

SET SETH AND SATAN

SET SETH AND SATAN

Set was the Egyptian god of the underworld. There are many stories, myths, and fables involving Set. Set was essentially, THE embodiment of evil. In the ancient Egyptian Myth, Set killed his brother Osiris. He was the Prince of Darkness. Each evening Horus, the Sun or solar deity that ruled the day, would do battle with Set who ruled the night. Set would win this battle and send Horus into the underworld.

The two would fight throughout the night, and in the morning Horus would eventually overcome the powers of darkness to rise or ascend into heaven (Ouranos/Sky Greek: ουρανός). The next SUN/SET that you see may now have a different meaning to you.

Set had many names throughout the thousands of years that numerous forms of this myth prevailed. The following are some of the various names of Set, or that Set was identified with:

Seth
Apophis/Apop/Apap/Apepi
Anubis
Sut
Sutu
Typhon
Toth
Sata

The last name in the list should look quite familiar even among the people of today's world ... SATA (satan).

One of the Ancient Greek Myth versions of Set was Typhon or Typhoeus. Here you’ll find some mythological history:

“A monster of the primitive world, who is described sometimes as a destructive hurricane (Typhoon), and sometimes a fire-breathing giant. According to Homer, he was concealed in the earth in the country of the Arimi ... In Hesiod, Typhon (the Greek for Set/Seth) and Typhoeus are two distinct beings. Typhon is represented as the son of Typhoeus, and a fearful hurricane ... Typhoeus ... is called the youngest son of Tartarus and Gaea ... He is described as a monster with 100 heads, fearful eyes, and terrible voices, who wanted to acquire the sovereignty of the gods and men, but, after a fearful struggle, was subdued by Zeus with a thunderbolt. He begot the winds, whence he is called the father of the harpies ... he was buried in Tartarus (hell), under Mount Aetna ... Typhoeus was identified with Set, who typified the power of darkness, the same power of darkness who slew Osiris.”

Satan, as a great serpent being chained in the underworld or “bottomless pit/abyss” (Rev 20:1-3) is drawing from the Typhon and Apophis imagery. As for the pit being bottomless or a great abyss, Greek myths mention that the underworld of Tartarus is as far removed from the earth's surface, as is heaven. Ancient Greek Myth imagery is once again being borrowed here.

Another very powerful myth from ancient Egypt that fit very well into the Biblical record of creation was the legend of the rebellion of Seth against Horus. Seth, a synonym of hatred and disobedience in Egyptian mythology, caused all sorts of troubles to befall man in revenge for his banishment by Horus and the rest of the “Egyptian Ennead.” The Ennead (or Great Ennead) was a group of nine deities in Egyptian mythology.

“Know that in the minds of the early Egyptian Christians, Satan, as a parallel to Seth, became a rebel and the enemy of man, who began to lurk in ambush in order to drag him (man) into disobedience.”
-Dr. Wlison B. Bishai
Professor Emeritus of Arabic for the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University

And a quote from "The Christ Conspiracy"

“ ... Of course, the dualistic concepts of absolute good and evil did not originate with Christianity but are found long before the Christian era, particularly within Zoroastrianism. Satan is an adaptation of the Persian representative of evil “Ahriman,” the twin brother of “God (Ahura Mazda),” the same as the Egyptian Set, Horus's twin and principal enemy also known as “Sata,” the source of which comes “Satan.” Horus struggles with Set in the exact manner that Jesus battles with Satan, with 40 days in the wilderness, among other similarities, such as the revealing from the mount “all the kingdoms of Earth.” This myth represents the triumph of light over dark, or the sun's return to relieve the terror of the night (Darkness+Evil=Devil). Horus/Set was the god of the two horizons; hence, Horus was the rising sun, and Set the time of the Sun-SET. The origin of the “devil” also can be uncovered through etymology, in that the word comes from the Sanskrit term “deva” or the Persian “daeva,” both of which originally referred to angelic entities, usually female, who were demonized by Christian indoctrinators. In actuality, “devil” shares the same root as “divine.” In addition, “demon” is a Christian vilification of the Greek word “daemon,” which likewise referred to a divine spirit ...”

Also from “The Christ Conspiracy”

Now onto the use of the term “Lucifer (Latin).” Despite all the political intrigue, Lucifer (Greek: Phosphorus) simply means “Light bearer/bringer,” and he was in the earliest times a sun god, which is why he is called “Day Star, son of the morning/dawn.” The sun god Lucifer is “cast out of heaven” by the other angels (or stars), as night descends. This god/angel Lucifer is pre-Hebraic, found in Canaan, Egypt and Mesopotamia, and was not originally considered evil ...”
-C.C. (229)

So, those of you that are worried about Satan following you around and making people do things, as you can plainly see it was just a story that originated in ancient Egypt that sprang out of ignorance of the natural world. The church used it as a ploy to control people of the times that had no education and would easily fear these mythical entities.

In a deeper more esoteric and metaphysical level, allegorically, our ego is considered to be satan, devil, demon, anti-christ ... simply because it goes against the common good (God) for it's own ego-centric and selfish desires. So we see that satan is symbolic of the human ego, opposer to the Divine Spark of God. But more on that, in another writing.

ANCIENT SACRED TEACHINGS

ANCIENT SACRED TEACHINGS

From the beginning of recorded history, we have mention of sacred teachings concerning the rebirth of humans into a Higher Consciousness. In classical literature, reference is frequently made to “the Mysteries,” which became the technical term for secret rites and methods known and practiced only by the priest/hierophant who had been initiated.

These sacred teachings were found in the empires of India, Egypt, Persia, Greece, AND Rome to mention only a few. The Mysteries were taught in specially created Schools by priest-hierophants who developed extraordinary techniques to assist select candidates to achieve a higher state of consciousness. These were the ancient Mystery Schools.

In the Mystery tradition, the title “hierophant” indicated that the priest had experienced initiation into ALL levels of the Mysteries. The Mystery priesthood therefore functioned as a closed elite whose knowledge and practices were held and guarded in secret. “For those with eyes to see, and ears to hear.”

Along with precise knowledge of the teachings and rites, hierophants were well versed in astronomy, engaging in observation, investigation, analysis and recording of solar, lunar and stellar phenomena. Hierophants were also skilled mathematicians and were knowledgeable in architectural and engineering sciences. They were healers with special skills in medicine and possibly surgery. They were also historians, since the records of each civilization were safeguarded in the temples.

It is from these ancient pagan Mystery Schools that we have received the foundation for ALL world religions. Unfortunately, much of the original self-empowering teachings have been usurped, edited, and altered in order to control the congregants of the most dominant religions alive today. The esoteric spiritual stories and myths have been usurped, literalized, and presented as actual historical events that are only literal in translation. Nothing could be further from the Truth. All ancient Wisdom was allegorical and metaphorical. ALL of it, no exceptions.

The secret teachings were under a layer of fables and parables. As it was back then, so it is today. Only the ones who have desired to do the work and dig through the murky waters have found the enlightened path. These teachings are still held in secret today by the Vatican and other global powers who are privy to them. Through this power, they control and manipulate the world population into division and separation ... and lead them down a path of darkness, rather than enlightenment. Question everything ... and you will find beneath the lies and deceptions, an abundance of Truth awaiting for you to discover it and use it to advance yourself, and all of humanity.

COMING OUT OF EGYPT ALLEGORY

ANKH SYMBOL OF ANCIENT EGYPT

ANKH SYMBOL OF ANCIENT EGYPT

When I graduated High School, a friend of the family gave me an Ankh as a graduation gift. Thank you Dee. I didn't know or even realize it's symbolic meaning at the time, but I thought it was very cool looking and wore it all the time. Even still today, many years later, I wear an Ankh around my neck ... outside of my shirt and in plain view. For some, they see it as an odd-looking cross, for others ... they want to  know what it is. And for a small few, they recognize it's origins and symbolism. I’ve even been told its “satanic,” to which i just smile and move on. When I order them, I usually order a few because I have given them away at times to random people who were so interested in the meaning and the shape.

The Ankh of ancient Egypt was a powerful and much used symbol that survived later in Christianity in the form of what was to become the Christian cross. The Ankh was also used as a staff to balance the energy body of a human being in cause of illness, and also to harmonize and revitalize. It was often made of brass, which was charged with a high vibrational energy, that more than likely took place within a temple or pyramid among sages and “holy men.” Because of the geometric shape, the Ankh matches the specific energy pattern of a human being, by which the energy could be carried over to the human energy body.

This geometric shape exists out of two poles which are opposite to each other but still form one wholeness, where the upper part represents the ‘receiving’ female energy (and womb of the Universe) and the lower part the ‘giving’ male energies. Both poles (polarity and duality) are needed to exist, for example without darkness there can not be light. We find this polarization everywhere in the Universe, such as light and dark, love and fear, man and women, the intellect and the intuition, the genitals, in electronics (earth and electricity), in communication (receiver and transmitter), in computer science (0 and “switch” 1), and the relation between the metaphysical and physical dimensions between heaven (above), and earth (below). Hence the term, as above, so below. AS within, so without.

The Ankh symbol seen in Egyptian hieroglyphs represented “life” or “breath of life” (`nh = ankh) and, as the Egyptians believed that one's earthly journey was only part of an eternal life, the Ankh symbolizes both mortal existence and the afterlife. This holy symbol was later adapted and modified by Christianity in the form of the cross. The modification was made to symbolically only represents the male aspect, which is typical for a patriarchal society. Among the ancients and during Egypt's golden age of peace and enlightenment, Egypt would have been a matriarchal society based on oneness and equality. Led by the Goddess, the power of Divine creative force.

ORIGINS OF THE CROSS

ORIGINS OF THE CROSS

In all the history of the world's Divine Saviours, they all share the esoteric meaning of the cross. They are all similar in that they represent the Creative Principle (Divine) crucified upon the cross of matter/form. The Inner Mysteries of Christianity, based on Jesus Christ, are no different. An important esoteric message lay within the surface story.

In reality, the cross is a pagan symbol that was adored in Egypt thousands of years before Jesus The Nazarene was born. The Roman Catholic Church later adopted the cross symbol at least 600 years AFTER the Biblical story of the Jesus crucifixion.

The cross however, was never exclusively Christian in it's origins. The cross is a universal symbol found throughout the ancient world upon their artifacts, temples, and tablets. In centuries BCE (BC), the actual City of Nicea was designed in the form of a cross. Centuries later, the Aztecs used the cross as their symbol.

Historically, the pagan sign of the mystic “Tau” of the Chaldeans and the Egyptians, a cross, was a symbol of the Roman god Mithras and the Greek Attis, and their forerunner Tammuz, the Sumerian solar god, consort of the goddess Ishtar. Conveniently, the original form of the letter “T” was the initial letter of the god of Tammuz. During baptism ceremonies, this cross was marked on the foreheads by the pagan priest/hierophant.

The cross of Christ, as experts agree, was actually a bar placed across the top of an upright, so it was not a cross at all. It was a “Tee” (T), called “Taw” in Hebrew, and “Tau” in Greek. Also, the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol of life - the “Ankh,” was a tau cross surmounted by a loop and known as crux ansata - adopted and extensively used on Coptic Christian monuments. It’s design depicted the intersection of Spirit and matter, and the Divine Feminine “Womb of the Universe.”

If you look at man himself, standing straight up with arms outstretched, we can see a living symbol of the cross and it's mythical model. The mythical cross is cosmic in origin, not human. The esoteric and metaphysical significance of this cross is not because a man or Saviour was crucified upon it. In fact the myths of all Saviours say they were crucified upon a cross. There is other significance to this symbolism. And it is not just a literal historical wooden cross with nails.

As we can see, the cross symbol of Christianity, is deeply rooted in ancient Pagan Mythology. In fact, Christianity did not choose the cross until more than 300 afters after the story of literal crucifixion as it's representative symbol. In fact, it had used the swastika, another ancient symbol for creative motion ... as did many other belief systems of old. The original word is Sanskrit and was suastika - meaning “good, being, well.” Later, a lamb was used as the symbol representing Aries. Ultimately, the “crucifix” (the man nailed to and hung upon a cross) replaced it all among the Roman Church as it does today. A symbol of suffering and death, rather than enlightenment and illumination.

In ancient times, there were also planetary and zodiacal meanings. 12 Stations of the Zodiac, in Greece, there were “12 Labours of Hearacles,” and in Egypt “12 tortures.” The initiates into the Inner Mysteries of the hidden Wisdom had to suffer before they would be given the Sacred Tau, the cross of the hierophant (ancient priest). The number 12 was also highly symbolic.

The seven major miracles are identical with the seven days of creation in the first book of the Bible - Genesis (meaning beginning or birth). This is Cosmology or Astrotheology ... heaven and God in the stars, skies, and planetary actions. As above, so below. As within, so without. As evolving, so involving. The story of creation was written in the stars long before Christianity by the Pagan Mystics. See the 12 Houses of the Zodiac (12 Apostles) surrounded by the Sun of God (Christ/Sun) and you will see much of where all the spiritual myths were derived.

The cross, from the sky-view (heavens/Ouranos) ... the constellation Crux – otherwise called the Southern Cross – can be seen from Earth’s Southern Hemisphere and from tropical and subtropical regions of the Northern Hemisphere.

There is much more than can be covered on this subject but far too much for one segment. We barely touched upon the Egyptian Ankh and it's metaphysical meanings and symbols. It is the Key of Life. We will go into more details in another writing.
