Crossroads

Crossroads

We all have driven along the highways and side roads and and have caught a glimpse of a make-shift roadside memorials left in honour of someone who had lost their life in some type of traffic accident at that exact location. Usually, there will be some sort of cross, and perhaps some flowers bundled at the base of the cross left by a recent visitor. Lately, at least in my opinion, I have witnessed more and more of these memorials on more and more roads that I have traveled. What a sad sight to be seen.

Was it truly an "accident," or was it preventable? So many times we categorized these types of tragedy into an accident, but if you investigate further ... you'll find that it may have been prevented. Someone drank too much, took their eyes off the road, talking on the phone and not paying full attention, texting, arguing with a passenger, or just simply spacing out and not staying alert. These are the true tragedies because they could've been prevented. The pain and loss for the friends and family left behind by those who died, may have been diverted just by realizing the attention required at all times that is necessary for operating a motor vehicle.

How many times do we stray from where we should place our focus. Not just on the road, but at work, at home, with our children, and our own health and well-being. We must learn to recognize the distractions that take away our attention from where it should be, and instead diverts it to where it should not be. When we mind our mind, we learn that we have more control over situations presented to us that we are aware of. We wake from our slumber. We become more conscious of dangerous situations and respond more quickly when these situations present themselves to us.

How many crosses and flower displays would we find at each moment in time when we have driven off our spiritual and emotional path? How many times do we have to hit the wall of despair to learn the lessons that have presented themselves to us? We tend to think "oh, that could never happen to me" when in fact, it most certainly can. Life is a journey of ups and downs, and we have to ride those waves. We have to learn to be good when things are not good, and be good when things are good. You are the Driver in your body ... the Soul. Be more careful with your vehicle and pay more attention to all that can affect you and others. The more awake, alert, and aware you are ... the less "accidents" you'll be involved in.

Who Is Your Sound Engineer?

Who Is Your Sound Engineer?

If you've ever had the pleasure to be in a music group, and to play with amazing musicians as I have, then you will certainly know the importance of having a great Sound Engineer coordinating the main sound system and how the instruments and vocals will be heard. This person, can make or break you. They have complete control over everything that will be heard by your audience, and as such, whether people will think your band sounds amazing, or if you band members will need to keep their day jobs.

As a band member, you rely completely on the sound person. And, generally, they will not adhere to your requests or complaints. You get what they give you, good or bad. When it's good ... you've got a great show and everybody's having a great time. When it's bad ... it's really bad. You can't hear the vocals, you can't hear the harmonies, the lead guitar solo disappears, you can't hear the kick drum, etc. An absolute train wreck for sound. And ... the entire night will be this way. The stress this creates is almost intolerable. As the musicians and singers, you are at the mercy of one person who controls all the knobs, faders, and buttons.

Now, what if you're not on stage with a band. What if you're not even a musician. Chances are, you will still have this experience at one time or another. Who is it that controls your knobs, faders, and buttons in life? Who or what is it that is holding you back from the real you? The good news is ... you have a choice when you're not on stage. You can decide your path, and how you want to be presented to other people ... your audience. Always feel free to be yourself. Don't give your controls to anyone else. Proudly present yourself as you truly are. Sing, dance, create, and enjoy all that life has to offer without being stuck behind a Sound Engineer who has the power to misrepresent who you really are.

Stay unplugged. Go acoustic. Let your real voice, mind, and heart be heard without any interference, misrepresentation, and false impressions. Stand proudly, perfect as you are, and say "I AM ________." Believe it, and live it. Life is about the journey, not the destination.

Who Is My Family Anyway?

Who Is My Family Anyway?

I don't think theres one family that doesn't have some form of internal conflict or drama as part of it's core existence. Now before I go further into this article, you must understand that the being you are is energy ... having a physical experience. You are not your body, you are not your experiences, you are the Observer ... the Witness to it all. You are an eternal Spiritual essence learning and raising your vibrations through your experiences in a world of matter. Remembering also, that matter is also energy. It is the lowest level of vibrating energy.

Now back to family conflict. Your Soul is born into a certain family because of the needs of your Soul to grow and expand it's understanding of all things. Your parents create your physical vessel, but your fragment of Spirit ... your Soul energy is entirely you and unrelated to your physical family unit. There are needs that your Soul has that can be met by entering this particular physical family. There will be times when you'll think perhaps you were adopted, or that someone left you on their doorstep. It's ok. We all go through this. The simple reason that you may not get along with your siblings is because you are siblings only in physical matter ... not on a spiritual level of higher consciousness.

So the next time you catch yourself saying "I can't believe my brother did this to me" ... know that it may be the same as if it were a stranger, even though your in the same physical family ... even though you shared the same womb. Some people are able to become best friends with their parents and siblings, but many find turmoil and frustration. The universe is ONE living organism and we are all an individualized essential part of the whole. There is also ONE consciousness of which we are all an essential part of the whole. Within the realm of consciousness, everything is interconnected. Everything is MIND. This mind, this conscious life essence, is what many will call God/Source Energy.

The lie and illusion that you have been taught and swallowed, line hook and sinker, is that everything is somehow separate and divided when in reality, the Truth is that all things in this universe are all interconnected and One. Your Soul fragment, may not be on the same vibrational level as your sister ... in other words, no harmony ... the guitar strings are out of tune and any musician will tell you there cannot be harmony when the band is out of tune. Mentalism, Vibration, Polarity, Balance, Harmony, are all part of the Laws that keep the universe on track. Creating, moving forward, expanding, and growing.

This same default is at work within your mind, body, and Soul. Be yourself ... everybody else is already taken. Be unique ... just like everybody else. Just BE. You are a Human BE-ing. Everyone is here on their OWN journey as you are. Let them be. If they cause harm, karma and law will resolve it. If they cause love and compassion ... we continue on the course laid out millions of years ago. If you experience conflict within your family, you can make an attempt to resolve it peacefully. Otherwise, simply know this is their life experience, and at times, it will not align with yours. Let it be, and walk away. Forgiveness is for you, and it will keep you from getting stuck.

Our Pathways To Life And It's Passions

Our Pathways to Life And It's Passions

Truth be told, one of the reasons we have so much trouble figuring out which path we should follow is because we don't "know ourselves" (literally). And if you look at the ways that all of us were brought up, it's really no surprise.

For example, how was it decided which type of classroom we should be put into at school? Was it based on whether we were more hands-on or more a thinker? Was it based on whether we learned better visually or audibly? Was it based on whether we were good at math or good at communication? Highly unlikely, at best. The decision was made based on the year we were born ... our age. You might even call it our "date of manufacture."

Most youth are basically treated the same and progress on the same path of traditional education systems, indiscriminately grouped with other children with the same manufacturing date. This is akin to trying to teach a fish to climb a tree.

This process fuels the virus of self-sabotage and unconsciously we start to believe that being like everybody else is right. We begin to believe that's how things "should" be.

Not consciously. No. Consciously, we want to live incredible, amazing, unique lives. Unconsciously though, the virus implanted so long ago is still there churning away and wreaking havoc within our subconscious mind.

Unless people were among the rare few to be educated with a Montessori or Waldorf approach, it's no wonder so many people have so much trouble figuring out how best they learn, what interests them, what their strengths and weaknesses are, and which type of personal transformation path they should take.

Sadly, after 12+ years of traditional schooling it's pretty difficult to know what makes any of us different from anybody else. It is now up to you personally. Find the things that interest you and do that. Do these things in the way that works best for you. It's time for discovery. Find out who you really are and seek purpose from life. Enjoy every moment. Life is meant to be filled with love, peace, and joy. Find what makes you glow with passion ... and do that, everyday.

Sittin' On The Side of The Bay

Sittin' On The Side of The Bay

Today, I am Bayside in Tampa, Florida. A few minutes of driving down Bayside Drive and you see multi-million dollar homes and high-priced condos. All with a million dollar view of Tampa Bay. It's interesting that this massive body of water was here long before any of these residences, yet it almost feels like it was built there to compliment the elite homes.

What else do we do in our lives that is built around something that was already there, and yet we think it was put there after we came along? The short answer is: everything. It was all here before we got here, and it will be here after we leave. The Old Testament says "there is nothing new under the sun" and how true that statement is. Oh sure, you can argue we have TV's and cell phones, and electricity, etc ... but Truth be told, all we did as humanity was re-arranged things that were already here and combine them into something else. We are the Great Re-arrangers.

Knowing this, consider what I am about to tell you and understand it to be true. Everything that you could every desire is here and now. All of it. You just have to bring it to you and accept it. Whatever you can come up with, whatever you imagine ... it's already here. Think about that. I know it's hard to believe but all we do is use what is already here. All you wishes, dreams, and desires, are here within this vast universe as one self-contained organism and you are an essence of the entirety of it all. If you don't think you can do it or have it ... then you won't. If you think you can, then you will. Use the Law of Attraction to draw it to yourself and then simply accept it. You deserve it and there's plenty of everything to go around.

Change the way you think, and you will change your reality. Change your perception and everything will change. Think, do, or act upon negativity, and you will get negativity in return. Think, do, or act upon the positive ... and positive is what you will get. Life is one giant echo. What you send out, will return ... as a boomerang always does. This is cause and effect, karma ... and an immutable Universal Law of the universe. Now get busy.

Unaware Miscommunication Among Each Other

Unaware Miscommunication Among Each Other

While visiting my local coffee shop today, there was a young boy and his Mom waiting in line to order. The Mother asked the boy what he wanted. He told her, but apparently, she wasn't paying attention when he spoke and yelled back at him ... "what is wrong with you, I asked you what do you want." Well now. I was all I had in me to keep my mouth shut but I did ... and kept watching to see how this was going to unfold.

The little boy looked up at her and said: "Mommy, I told you, but you weren't listening to me." She accused him of lying and reminded him who was the boss. I could literally feel his frustration. What was he thinking? Maybe it goes something like this: "Wow. Life is so unfair. Mom asked me what I wanted and I told her but because she didn't hear me she is blaming me ... and calling me a liar. Is this how a Mom should be teaching her child to be?" While we stood there, he paused for a moment, gathered his thoughts, and actually said: "But Mom, why would I lie? I answered you but you were talking to the lady and you didn't hear me."

Wow. Good for him. Respectful, standing his ground, and explaining why she didn't hear him indicating he hadn't lied, but she simply didn't hear what he said because she was distracted by another conversation. "Alright" she said, "then what was it you wanted?" No apology, no remorse, and still with a really bad attitude. Now how do you think this child is going to grow up if this is the way that she communicates, or ... miscommunicates, on a daily basis?

You see the world has us caught in it's Laws. We can't escape them. They are here to help us if we would just recognize them. Once we understand what we can and cannot do, we will find ourselves more at home and less stressed. This Mom was clearly stressed on this day ... and that will have it's negative effect on her child. We all do this. Whether with family, friends, work, or strangers. When we come to the understanding that how we treat someone else, will become how we are treated ... we wake to the reality of Truth.

The kid got his donut, Mom got her latte, and off they went. But, the negative energy and feelings she had left behind, affected all of us that remained. You see, what you think, say, or do ... affects more than just you. Your energy field extends well beyond your own physical body. And we all need to realize what sort of energetic field we are creating, rearranging, or leaving behind.

I'll close with something usually accredited to Socrates, but it's the message that is most important. It is called the "Triple Filter."

"The first is the Filter is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

"The second filter, is the Filter of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me something good?"

"The third is the Filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me going to be useful to me or anyone else?"

Conclusion: "If what you want to tell me is neither true, nor good, nor even useful, then why tell it to me at all?"

We all need to think, before we speak. Words are powerful. Your word is your sword. The power of life and death is in the tongue. Your word is your wand ... choose carefully what you wish to manifest for yourself, and for others.

Universal Laws - The 12 Immutable Laws - Learn Them And Change Your Life

Universal Laws - The 12 Immutable Laws - Learn Them And Change Your Life

The Law of Divine Oneness - everything is connected to everything else. What we think, say, do and believe will have a corresponding effect on others and the universe around us.

Law of Vibration - Everything in the Universe moves, vibrates and travels in circular patterns, the same principles of vibration in the physical world apply to our thoughts, feelings, desires and wills in the Etheric world. Each sound, thing, and even thought has its own vibrational frequency, unique unto itself.

Law of Action - Must be employed in order for us to manifest things on earth. We must engage in actions that supports our thoughts dreams, emotions and words

Law of Correspondence - This Universal Law states that the principles or laws of physics that explain the physical world energy, Light, vibration, and motion have their corresponding principles in the etheric or universe "As above, so below"

Law of Cause and Effect - Nothing happens by chance or outside the Universal Laws.. Every Action(including thought) has a reaction or consequence "We reap what we sow"

Law of Compensation- The Universal Law is the Law of Cause and effect applied to blessings and abundance that are provided for us. The visible effects of our deeds are given to us in gifts, money, inheritances, friendships and blessings.

Law of Attraction - Demonstrates how we create the things, events and people that come into our lives Our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions produce energies which, in turn attract like energies. Negative energies attract negative energies and positive energies attract positive energies.

The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy - All persons have within them the power to change the conditions of their lives. Higher vibrations consume and transform lower ones; thus, each of us can change the energies in our lives by understanding the Universal Laws and applying the principles in such a way as to effect change

Law of Relativity - Each person will receive as series of problems (Tests of Initiation/Lessons) for the purpose of strengthening the light within each of these tests/lessons to be a challenge and remain connected to our hearts when proceeding to solve the problems. This law also teaches us to compare our problems to others problem into its proper perspective. No matter how bad we perceive our situation to be, There is always someone who is in a worse position. Its all relative.

Law of Polarity - Everything is on a continuum and has and opposite. We can suppress and transform undesirable thoughts by concentrating on the opposite pole. It is the law of mental vibrations.

Law of Rhythm - Everything vibrates and moves to certain rhythms.. These rhythms establish seasons, cycles, stages of development, and patterns. Each cycle reflects the regularity of God's Universe. Masters know how to rise above negative parts of a cycle by never getting to excited or allowing negative things to penetrate their consciousness.

Law of Gender - The law of gender manifests in all things as masculine and feminine. It is this law that governs what we know as creation. The law of gender manifests in the animal kingdom as sex. This law decrees everything in nature is both male and female. Both are required for life to exist.
