NEW YEAR RESOLUTION

NEW YEAR RESOLUTION

What if there was ONE New Year’s Resolution that had the inherent ability to completely TRANSFORM our lives? Instead of changing or improving something, what if we went to the core of all issues and we resolved it once and for all? What if you could reclaim your full connection to Who You Really Are?

Most of us operate in a perpetual state of disconnection to who we really are: aka Higher Self, Source Self, True Self or whatever you may choose call it. Many of the challenges and issues in our lives could be resolved by simply getting connected and staying connected. Of course, we wouldn’t be alive if we weren’t connected at some level, but there is a big difference between MINIMAL connection and full MAXIMUM connection. When we are fully connected, we are aligned with something greater than us, and we are in sync with the natural rhythm of the universe.

When you are connected to the source of who you really are, you know it, because life flows with ease and grace. You can create what you desire, and you are joyful, peaceful and abundant. Everything in your life is a direct result of being connected or not connected. When you set your intention on getting connected first and foremost, you will also align with the realization of other resolutions that you may desire.

The less connected you are, the harder it is for the universe to answer your hopes, dreams and prayers – not because you are less deserving. You are always deserving, but rather because you are not plugged in and the energy cannot flow – therefore what you desire cannot manifest in your life. Manifestation is the flow from thought to thing. The more connected you are, the easier thoughts can flow into things. In other words, the easier and quicker the universe can deliver your dream.

Symptoms of disconnection include: fear, stress, overwhelm, worry, feeling unloved, unworthy, alone, and basically any emotion that feels uncomfortable. Signs that you are connected include: feeling exhilarated, creative, joyful, engaged, enthusiastic, peaceful, loving, and feeling really good for no external reason at all.

On the path to connecting with your Real Self there is no failure – so just do your best, and remember each day is a new day, and you have unlimited “do overs.” Above all, be kind to yourself, as you use this guide to support your journey to awakening to Who You Really Are.

WATER AND SOURCE

Water And God/Source

If you were to take a bottle of water from the store and trace it backwards to its origins, it would go something like this. Store, carton, truck, warehouse, bottling plant, stream/rivers/lakes/well/reservoir, clouds, and all the way back to the very origins of the universe. This is all part of a process called The Water Cycle. All water is derived to one source ... One Source.

Water in oceans, rivers, ponds and lakes is heated by the sun, which turns it into water vapor, (basically invisible water) and this vapor forms a cloud in the sky. When a cloud gets so full of water that it can't hold anymore, it rains. The rain water travels back into our rivers and oceans, and soaks down deep into the ground, creating more groundwater. It's an endless cycle ... and all life bases life itself, on the sun and water.

Now, further consider mankind specifically. We are born into a material world of form/matter, and prior to this physical birth, was the birth canal. Then the womb, the umbilical cord, the egg/seed, our parents, their parents and so forth all the way back to the very origins of the universe. This is all part of a process called The Life Cycle. All life is connected to one source ... One Source ... And will always be ONE.

In fact, At the time you are born, the percentage of your body made up of water is about 78%. As you age, it drops to about 60%. This still means that we are made of mostly water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%.

To break this down into the point I am making is that in it's most basic form, there exists one Source, or Point of Origin, which for the sake of unity I will call God. And Mankind is the offspring or "Son" of that God. That's all there is to it, in a nutshell. The essence of the Creative Archetype is in ALL of us just like water is in ALL water ... as the essence of the ocean is in every droplet of water removed from it.

That is NOT to say that Man is God, but rather, that God is Man. God is everything, and since ALL things begin as a thought (Spirit/energy) before they are manifest into form/matter, or become the result of cause and effect, everything that exists ... exists within the Mind of God. And yes ... all world religions accepted this at the very core of their ancient wisdom.

All are One, and one is ALL. The universe is one gigantic living organism and you are it. You're not in it, or a part of it, you are IT. Inseparable. Everything is ONE. If you can grasp this ... it would change your life and the life of everyone in this world of ours. It is only our ego that believes us to be a separate creature or entity. There is ONE Spirit, ONE body, ONE mind, and ONE humanity. Stop the circus long enough to think about this. I promise you, when you tear down the walls and tear the veil of fear and unknowingness ... you too will come to the same conclusion. Your Spirit already knows, and it's waiting for you to RE-member.

Just a thought ...

THE LIGHT OF LIFE

THE LIGHT OF LIFE

When a light bulb burns out, we say that it is dead. It becomes inert … lifeless. But the source of life … light … is endless energy. The filament in the light bulb receives the light, yet when it no longer is able to receive the light … it is considered dead. But the source of the light, the very light itself, is unaffected.

This is the same with you and I. Our bodies receive the light … the light of consciousness … and we live our life powered by the source of life itself. When the body dies, the light of our consciousness lives on. In fact, since energy cannot be created or destroyed, the light that is the true us is eternal in nature.

Our thoughts, our soul, our true Self is the power source that provides light so that we may live. When the light goes out, leaves the body, we leave behind the inert (dead) physical body, but our consciousness never skips a beat.

Just like the light bulb, we are enclosed in an physical environment that allows our presence to be seen from the inside out. The source of all light, life, and energy … is One. For many, this One is God, or Source. The Absolute.

When we come to the understanding that all is One, and One is all there is … then we understand what we do to others, we do to ourselves. We are the universe experiencing itself through us … with us … as us.

FEAR IS A THOUGHT

FEAR IS A THOUGHT

During an Energy Healing session with my friend Stormy Lake - from Divine Energy Door 2 Spirit - she said something that stopped me right in my tracks. It was an AH-HA moment. It spoke directly to my Soul.

She said: "FEAR IS A THOUGHT." So many things I have researched have pointed to FEAR being an illusion, yet for me and so many others, it was very REAL. But during this session with Stormy, I finally made the connection when she spoke those four words. "FEAR IS A THOUGHT" ... And will NOT manifest in form UNLESS, I give life to it. Unless I CHOOSE to bring that THOUGHT into FORM.

So I started researching some more, letting my findings speak to my Divine inner guidance system. What gives power to a thought? – my INTEREST. If I have no interest in a particular thought then it loses its hold over me. Again, "FEAR, is a THOUGHT."

It helps to know that I am not my thoughts, and that thoughts are just energy forms created in the mind. I can stop giving power to these thoughts by not giving them my interest.

Thoughts die immediately when they are deprived of this "fuel" of MY interest. If I don’t associate with that thought, or give power to that thought, it will dissipate quickly.

LIFE is a stream of pure positive energy, and any negative thought will stand in opposition to it, causing friction which is felt as suffering in the body. As Stormy continued to say: "fear comes from a source outside of Divine peace. It disturbs the path of rest and safety. When it becomes manifest in body, it holds us back ... Infirmity. Do not give power to your thought."

In ancient scripture we find a verse in 2 Corinthians that tells us to cast down imaginations ... And take captive every thought. We must remember, thoughts become things. The unseen, made manifest. Every "thing" in form, must first have it's origins in thought. This is Universal Law. For every effect, there must be a first cause.

Thank you Stormy Lake, and thank you Spirit within, for awakening and connecting a conscious understanding of this Law That I can now apply to fear and anxiety.  Guard the gate of your mind ... Always. Choose wisely what you wish to bring into your life experience. Proverbs 23:7 says: "For as he thinks within himself, so he is." Cause and Effect.

Just a "thought" :) ...

Divine Number Twelve

Divine Number Twelve

Starting out life as an immensely useful number for counting and dividing things, the number 12 became a number revered by mathematicians and early astronomers.

So the skies were divided into 12 portions as were the months of year, reflecting the annual movement of heavenly bodies. Superstitions and religious beliefs were piled on top of respect for the number 12 and was adopted by multiple early civilizations. The sky, divided into 12, has each portion ruled by a personification, a god, a divine being, a teacher, a prophet or a son of the sun. Odin, or Norse mythology, sat on a chair that overlooked all of creation, and had 12 sons. The Babylonians had the longest lasting influence upon our calendars, times, mathematics and religions, all of which emphasize the number 12.

Pseudoscientific enterprises such as astrology have the number 12 at its core. The ancient Zoroastrians had twelve commanders on the side of light (light being a symbol for the sun), and in Judaism and the Hebrew Scripture there are many references to the 12 tribes of Israel, and later on the Greeks imagined 12 Gods on mount Olympus. Mithraists, and then Christians believed that their saviour had 12 disciples. Shi’a Muslims list 12 ruling Imams following Muhammad. Such holy persons are depicted with a bright solar light around their heads such as occurs when any object approaches from the sun and now stands in front of it. Although many ancient religions such as the Gnostics understood things like the twelve disciples of Mithras to be symbolic of the stages of the waning and waxing sun throughout the year, later religions took it literally and believed in an actual 12 disciples - and some still do.

Now we understand what stars, planets and stellar objects are, it makes no sense to retain the mystical, nonsensical connotations of the ‘holy’, ‘perfect’, ‘divine’ or ‘special’ number 12. If the number is employed in a practical sense to divide time, measurements, or angles, then the chances are it makes awesome mathematical sense to utilize such a factorable number as the number twelve. But if you see it used in a superstitious, religious, magical, paranormal, holy or weird way, then watch out, because you have entered the world of flat-earth delusion. It is, after all, only a number.

The Mathematics
The number 12 is a highly respected and practical number. It has many factors for such a low number, so it is one of the lowest easily-divisible numbers. Number 11 is not divisible, number 10 only has two factors (2 and 5) meaning that if you measure anything in tens, you can only divide it into either halves or pairs. Number 9 only divides into 3, number 8 only into 2 and 4, number 7 is a prime number with no factors, number 6 only breaks down into half or thirds, number 5 is a prime, you can only halve number 4 or 2, and 3 and 1 don’t divide and are so small you wouldn’t want to measure things in them, anyway. Number 12, however, divides into 6, 4, 3 and 2, giving it a large number of practical uses where things have to be divided up into whole numbers, from calendars to clocks. As a result of all these factors, mathematicians get excited about the number 12 and apparently, they always have done! For example, Pythagoras, the classical mathematics genius, teacher, and leader of a pagan religious movement, taught that the number 12 had divine, profound mystical meaning.

We will see from this usefulness and roundness has arisen first respect, then awe, and finally superstitions based on the number 12. It all starts with telling the time and star-gazing.

The Zodiac
2.1. Dividing the Stars and Heavens Into 12 Constellations (3000BCE)

The oldest preserved zodiac dates from 3000BCE when the Sumerians in Mesopotamia developed their Zodiac based on twelve heavenly bodies they could see, such as planets. Sumerian government always composed of twelve people. The Babylonians, with their numbering system of 60, found the number 12 to be practical and useful for calendars and times. The author of “Science: A Four Thousand Year History”, Patricia Fara, says “the Babylonians split the heavens into twelve equal sections, one for each lunar month and carrying the name of a prominent constellation. Translated into Latin, these now exist as the twelve signs of the zodiac familiar from newspaper horoscopes, such as Aries the Ram and Taurus the Bull”. This idea was passed on from culture to culture:

“The notion of the zodiac is very ancient, with roots in the early cultures of Mesopotamia. The first 12-sign zodiacs were named after the gods of these cultures. The Greeks adopted astrology from the Babylonians, and the Romans, in turn, adopted astrology from the Greeks. These peoples renamed the signs of the Mesopotamian zodiac in terms of their own mythologies, which is why the familiar zodiac of the contemporary West bears names from Mediterranean mythology.” Lewis in “Encyclopedia of New Religions”

Further East, the Chinese zodiac also had twelve divisions; although they were different to the common ones that Western culture adopted from the Sumerians.

2.2. The 12 Heavenly Gods

Frequently there were also twelve superior gods. The ancient Zoroastrian holy book, the Menok i Xrat, says that the “twelve Signs of the Zodiac, as the Religion says, are the twelve commanders on the side of light”. These commanders fight against evil in a battle for the fate of the world. The star-gazers and sun-worshippers of the ancient world would be proud that they were followed by a long series of cultures that imagined a collection of twelve gods:

“Among all the gods worshipped by the Greeks, the twelve deities who dwelt on Mt Olympus, the highest mountain in Greece, formed a special category of their own. The gods of Olympus were usually taken to be Zeus, Hera, Athena, Poseidon, Apollo, Artemis, Demeter, Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Hephaestus and Hestia. In certain local variations, positions among the ‘twelve’ were occupied by Pluto, Dionysus, Heracles or other local cult heroes.” “Greek Mythology and Religion” by Maria Mavromataki (1997)

Some Gods had twelve sons, and some sun gods had 12 disciples to spread the message across the world that the sun wasn’t dead; it was rising again in the sky in spring, after being defeated in autumn.

2.3. The 12 Stations of Life in Buddhism

As the division of the divine realm into 12 areas was based on the original stellar usefulness of the number, non-godly religions also developed mystical systems that divided existence into 12 parts. Buddhists hold that life is composed of 12 stages, which together keep the wheel of life turning, ensnaring all life in a samsaric (cyclic) form of existence from which it is hard to escape.

“The Buddhist teaching on samsaric existence is […] depicted in the Wheel of Becoming. […] The rim of the wheel is divided into twelve segments and scenes. These show how beings pass from one realm to another, and are call the nidanas. […] These scenes depict Buddhist teaching on Dependent Origination: the causal chain which ensures that the Wheel of Samara keeps revolving.” “Buddhism” by Clive Erricker (1995)

The 12 Tribes of Israel, 12 Disciples of God
3.1. Judaism and Christianity

As the stars are divided into twelve, it is only natural to presume that Human communities can be divided into twelve geographical locations, and each one administered by a different personification of the Sun. The Babylonians had the longest lasting influence upon our calendars, times, mathematics and religions, all of which emphasize the number 12, and it just so happens that organized Judaism arose from Hebrews who lived in Babylon and picked up the skills of literacy there. Thusly, Judaism inherited the importance of the number 12 from the Babylonians (and from wider Sumerian culture). The Signs of the Zodiac became Leaders; it was thought their influence over the lives of individual people could be worked out through a mixture of planet-watching and confused mysticism. The legacy that such lunacy left us was a deep-rooted religious tradition that the affairs of mankind are rightfully led by twelve leaders. As in (the heavens) heaven, so on Earth. But the original source of this mysticism in sun worship and star gazing has never been completely lost: the representatives of the sun are still given an aurora behind their heads, representing the power and glory of the sun.

See: Book of Judges (Shofetim): 1. Were There Twelve Judges?

So in Judaism, Jacob had 12 sons, who went on to procreate the twelve tribes of Israel, god’s chosen people (God being the sun, with twelve divisions). Early folk-lore-born stories of the founding of Judah and Israel were written and edited by later Hebrew scribes into a story of the twelve Judges: the story is told in the Biblical Book of Judges.

Next, as Christianity arose out of Judaism, it too inherited the reverence of the number 12. Jesus had 12 disciples. Early Gnostic Christians accepted this as a symbolic and figurative account, but later Pauline Christians took it all literally.

“Jesus surrounds himself with 12 disciples. This is usually taken to be symbolic of the 12 tribes of Israel. This notion of 12 tribes, however, is itself a symbolic reference to the 12 signs of the zodiac in Babylonian astrology, which the Jews adopted whilst in exile in Babylon. The zodiac was an extremely important symbol in the Pagan world. Osiris-Dionysis is symbolically represented as the still spiritual center of the turning wheel of change represented by the 12 signs. […][In] the Mysteries of Mithras 12 disciples surrounded the godman, just as the 12 disciples surrounded Jesus. The Mithraic disciples were dressed up to represent the 12 signs of the zodiac and circled the initiate, who represented Mithras himself.” “The Jesus Mysteries” Timothy Freke & Peter Gandy (1999) [Book Review]

Other religious scholars such as “Robertson, Niemojewski, Volney and others” also hold that “as son-god Jesus had twelve apostles representing the twelve houses of the zodiac”. Nowhere in the New Testament does it say why there were twelve disciples. But clearly, the solar son of the sun must have 12 disciples, because what happens when Judas fails them? In the first chapter of the Book of Acts, they immediately elect a replacement for Judas (Acts 1:21–26). The very fact that there are 12 apostles, and most of them are rarely mentioned at all in the New Testament, has made many think that most of the stories surrounding the apostles are merely re-written myths, rather than historical accounts. Such is the lure of the number 12.

3.2. The 12 Sibylline Oracles 11

Voltaire exclaimed (with his usual mixture of ridicule and sarcasm) that the Sibylline Oracles of ancient Greece were 12 in number because this was a sacred number and that God had no other way of communicating, and that these prophets “had certainly predicted all the events in the world. […] Who can deny the fulfillment of their prophecies? Has not Virgil himself quoted the predictions of the sibyls?” However it transpires that this was the result of forgery - the original Sibylline Books were lost to history - destroyed - and it was later Christian clerics who concocted the idea of 12 Oracles, and used the respected name of the Sibylline Books to promulgate a number of prophecies which made it seem like the ancients had predicted Christianity.

3.3. Islam

Islam became another Abrahamic religion to accept the traditional division of the land and power into 12 areas. Qur’an 5:12 says God appointed twelve leaders to the people of Israel. Qur’an 2:60 and 7:160 tell a slightly odd story which states that God and the angels divided Israel into 12 distinct tribes. The people asked for water, so, Moses was told to strike a rock with his staff. This piece of magic resulted in 12 rivers springing from the rock, and each tribe “knew where to get its own water”. This odd radial division of land and people is purely mythical; nowhere are there 12 rivers stemming from one rocky source, and, never have the Hebrews been divided into 12 tribes each with its own source of water. This story clearly has astrological and mythological meaning rather than literal meaning.

Horoscopes
In the largest study ever undertaken of horoscopes, David Voas looked at over ten million married couples:

“Even the smallest tendency for Virgo’s to fancy Capricorns or for Libra’s to like Leo’s would be apparent in the statistics. If only one pair in a thousand is influenced by the stars, we would see ten thousand more couples than expected with certain combinations of signs. In fact, the numbers are just what we’d predict based on chance.” Prof. David Voas (2008)13

People’s astrological signs do not predict success in marriage. But this complete lack of correlation does beg one more question: If people believe in astrology, it seems at first that a certain effect should be apparent. If all Virgo’s thought they had a better chance with a Taurus and married accordingly, it should show up. How come this sociological effect is not even apparent in the statistics? The reason is that horoscope advice is random. With so many columns giving so many contradictory opinions, choices made by them are as good as random choices. So not only are the predictions random in nature, leading to random choices that people merely think are meaningful, but, the results of unions are completely unrelated to astrological signs.

Why do some people come to conclude that such random advice means anything? Social psychologists have been studying questions such as this for some time.

“Certain beliefs or suppositions imply a similarity between two entities: A child should look like his or her parents, identical twins should behave alike, or a personality description ought to resemble the person it describes. However if the two entities are sufficiently complex, then mapping one onto the other will almost certainly produce a number of points of overlap, and the expectation will appear to be confirmed. […]

The Barnum effect refers to the tendency for people to accept as uncannily descriptive of themselves the same generally worded assessment, as long as they believe it was written specifically for them on the basis of some “diagnostic” instrument such as a horoscope or personality inventory.” “How We Know What Isn’t So: The Fallibility of Human Reason in Everyday Life” by Thomas Gilovich (1991)

The critical thinker Carl Sagan did not have access to a database of ten million marriages, but he did conclude from two other lines of reasoning that the planets do not influence our lives: “1. The contradictory entries in newspapers, and 2. Twins often have different fates and lives.”

Just a thought …

The Projectionist

The Projectionist

We all know what it's like to sit in a movie theatre and watch a film. All eyes front and center to the screen, and the sound is all around us. The fascinating thing about this experience is that it's not a fluid event. What we see on the screen is a series of moving pictures. Still shots in rapid succession. Hence, the short name of Movie rather than Motion Picture.

Our brain works the same way. It captures a series of still images, sends these images to the brain, and they get distributed and filed as needed. We'll get back to this in a moment ... but I want to turn your attention to the back of the theatre. That hole in the wall with the bright white light projecting towards the screen. You see ... that is US. In our lives, we are projecting the movie of our life on the screen. From the world of Spirit, into the world of Matter. We are the aperture or the universe.

We are the light of the world. We project from within, all that is created without. We are co-creators in this vast universe. Remember, the definition of "universe" is "ALL existing matter and space considered as a WHOLE; the cosmos." There are no individuals, nor are there any individual "things." All is one, one is all. You and I are not separate, we are interconnected through the seen and the unseen realms. This is fact, and science.

Your light projecting into this world, is your passion play. Your experience. You manifest whatever your thoughts choose to bring to life. You are not your body, you are not your experiences ... just like the movie theatre ... you are the Watcher, the Observer. You are observing your own creation. And it's all happening inside your head. You can never get out of your head because that is where all your physical sensory activity is experienced. What you perceive to be the "outside world" is really in your head. All of it. And you are projecting it into this reality.

Now back to the filing system of images that we talked about earlier. These images are seen as they are. And they are unable to be seen as a non-image. In other words ... if you see a man walking, your brain register images of a man walking. It cannot create an image of a man NOT walking. There is no red circle with a white line through it when it comes to mind. The man is either walking, or he is doing something else. The mind cannot graphically represent an image of a man NOT walking. Therefore, we must always be aware of what the mind receives from our physical senses.

Our subconscious mind is our divine feminine ... the creator of our reality. If we think or say "I will NOT drink sodas today," then the mind can only hear "sodas today" and so you will drink sodas. It does not  comprehend concepts such as won't, don't, can't, etc. It can only manifest from positive phase images or thoughts. So instead, you can think or say I WILL drink water today," and so you will. This, the subconscious mind can understand. The default is set up that way. I obviously cannot draw a picture of a man NOT riding a bicycle. He is either riding it, or he is doing something else.

We must remain aware of our thoughts because these thoughts will manifest as our physical reality. We are the light projecting into this realm from the realm of Spirit/consciousness. Each of us an integral element of the whole universe interconnected and co-creating everything in the world. That's quite a huge responsibility. Mind your mind. Be responsible with your thoughts. Thoughts are things (thinks).

Just a "thought" ...

Getting Free From Your Ego

Steps to Getting Free From Your Ego

So if you practice yoga, or participate in any kind of self-reflective practice, then you're probably familiar with the concept of the ego. Now, we're not talking the Freudian definition of ego — a mediator of sorts between the id (base desires) and the superego (idealistic desires). What we’re talking about here is that little voice inside you that is the source of so much worry, anxiety and suffering … much of it undesirable. The ego is what keeps you locked away in your own little world, separated from the present moment, the NOW.

You see, the ego used to have an important job … getting us all hyped up and aware of our surroundings in case a saber-toothed tiger was lurking around the corner. These days we don’t run into dangers like that all that often. But the ego still needs to feel employed and important. It does this by inspiring fear, self-judgment and judgment of others.

Let’s think about this for a moment. Think about the source of any of your anxieties. I’m going to bet a lot of them have to do with future projections or imagined events and outcomes. But here’s the secret, the future does not exist anywhere but in your mind.

All these future events you’re worrying about? They don’t exist. I mean, maybe you won’t get that promotion. What happens then? Well, you’ll deal with it in the moment just like you’ve always dealt with any hardship. Projecting about it and worrying about it is a useless waste of your time and energy.

When you find yourself projecting ask yourself the following question: can I do anything about this right now? If the answer is no, then stop worrying. Listen to your breath and allow it to bring you into the moment. Do something that brings you joy. If the answer is yes, then stop worrying and get busy.

The same thing applies to the past. The ego loves to keep us trapped there … rehashing old hurts, perceived mistakes, ancient regrets … replaying the video tape in our head. What good do these obsessions do? Presumably, you’ve learned the lesson and you have (or will) apply it to future decisions. Hey, you did the best you could. Now move on.

So, how do we free ourselves? Man, it ain’t easy, that’s for sure. The concepts themselves are easy, sure. But enacting them? That’s another story. The moment you think you have it figured out, you’re suddenly anxious again, projecting forward or backward, building fear upon fear until the present moment is so far gone that you have no idea what you did that day, aside from getting worked up about your bank balance or the state of your relationships. The ego thrives on separating you from the moment and from others who share in this moment with you.

As for me, I’m definitely not free from concern or anxiety, but at least now I have to tools to identify it and move on. Let me tell you, THAT in itself is the greatest gift. It’s the freedom that comes from realizing that we are not our thoughts. So here we go:

1. Choose Love

Yeah, I know how that sounds, but give it a chance. Love is the only real emotion. Fear is an illusion. I know, difficult to understand, but what will help is this: as soon as you have a fearful or anxious thought, tell yourself; “love did not create this thought, and so it is not real.”

Even if you can’t quite get on board the love thing, don’t worry about it. Just start telling yourself “if love did not create it, it is not real.” Trust me on this. You’ll have a whole new perspective on your situation. It’s amazing how solutions suddenly occur to you once you’re no longer trapped in the fear/anxiety cycle.

2. Never Complain

Complaining keeps us locked in negativity, Think about it. Who wants to hang out with someone who complains all the time? No one. So why complain even to yourself? This is the source from which self-disgust, self-hatred, and self-sabotage springs … and the ego loves it, this self-imposed separation.

When we complain, what we are doing is telling a story to ourselves in our minds, and then verbally telling others about our personal response to what is taking place in our lives. The story centers on how an event affects 'me.' In an instant, we are able to see that we have bought into the validity of our thoughts and opinions and we want to broadcast them.

Again, a little difficult. But if you don’t get it, don’t worry. This is all you have to know - just stop complaining. Try it for a week, see what happens. See how your life opens up for you. If you need more motivation, start a complaining fund. Every time you catch yourself complaining, drop a quarter (or a dollar or a twenty, whatever keeps you in line) into a jar. The ego always wants to improve on the current moment. Don’t let it draw you down that path. Breathe. Find something beautiful. Focus. Take your thoughts back to a safe place.

3. If All Else Fails, Be Grateful

It’s hard to be down and out while also feeling grateful. You may try the above suggestions and find that you begin to get angry. You start to feel like all this self work and self-reflection is pointless, and you should be able to feel and say, and eat and think, and watch what you like. This is totally normal. This is the ego defending itself. It’s throwing up any obstacle it can into your path. It’s main goal, remember, is to maintain the separation. It wants the control over you, but it was never meant to lead.

This whole practice of taking charge over your ego is like one big detox. The anger and self-righteousness you begin to feel after starting this process is the same thing. And just like a hangover, all you can do is wait it out and make the best choices you can stomach.

So when the anger strikes, just let go of all the self-improvement stuff for a while. Do this instead:

- make a list. Just grab a piece of paper and begin writing down all the things for which you are grateful for. I don’t care if you can only think of one thing and that one thing is that you had food on your table today. Be grateful for it, and be REALLY grateful. And then keep going. Keep writing. Is the sun coming through the window? Or maybe it’s raining and you love the rain. Maybe your favorite show is on later. Just be grateful. Write it down. This is your one small step back toward your path.

Working on yourself in this way can be exhausting, I know. But don’t think you have to do it all at once; don’t feel like you’ve failed if you have a fearful or anxious thought. That whole striving for perfection thing? What do you think that is? It’s Ego. The ego wants a destination and it wants to get there. Right now. The work you’re doing here is a journey and it’s a journey taken in very small, baby steps. Let each step be a destination of its own, if that’s what drives you. Each breath, each moment, each movement you make is your destination. Even as you begin, know you have already arrived.

Amazing Facts About Your Body

Amazing Facts About Your Body

The human body is more impressive and magnificent than you can imagine. While we may sometimes look at it and see how weak and fragile it is, we also need to realize the amazing wonders we all hold within ourselves. When our body works, we do not feel, or even notice it is doing anything special, however, it is. As we go about our daily lives like nothing is happening, the body is working, using power, and healing. Our subconscious mind is on a 24 hour cycle of millions of processes that we have no conscious perception of.

Your brain operates on the same amount of power as a 10 watt light bulb:

The human brain uses approximately 10 watts of power per day. For comparison’s sake, that’s about 10 percent of the power that it takes to run a 100-watt light bulb. So the image of a light bulb over your head when you get an idea isn’t too far off the mark. Your brain generates as much energy as a small light bulb even when you’re sleeping. In fact, the brain is ever more active during sleep.

> Every 7 years your body completely replaces itself:

25,000,000 of your cells died while you read this sentence. None to worry though, your body made more than 300 billion new ones today alone. The cells that make up your body are dying and being replaced all the time. This happens so often that about every 7 years you have a completely new body of cells - most of the old cells don’t exist anymore. But remember, some very important cells, like the cells lining the stomach, and some other very important cells in your body - for example those of your bones, your brain, and your heart - don’t regenerate much at all, so treat them with extra care. And it won’t hurt to actually speak some love to your body. This has proven to make a difference.

Nerve impulses to and from the brain travel as fast as 250 miles per hour:

The speed of your bodies nerve impulses vary. but the fastest ones travel at about 250 mph. Pretty much NASCAR. However this demand for speed uses a vast amount of energy and is found only in neurons that need to transfer information urgently and with critical speed. For example, if you burn your finger, it is urgent that your brain gets the message very quickly in order for you to withdraw your hand from the source of the damaging heat.

There are more cells in your body than stars in the galaxy:

Your entire physical body is made up of about 75 trillion cells. Each one of them is like a small city with thousands of different types of complex molecules interacting with each other to keep you alive and conscious. When you compare this to the 400 billion stars in our galaxy, you can understand numerically just how amazing and magnificent your existence really is. So the next time you are feeling bummed out or small and insignificant," - remember, you are made out of 75,000,000,000,000 cells - that you can’t even see. Not too insignificant my friend.

There are 100,000 miles of blood vessels in an adult human body:

If you took all of the blood vessels out of an average child, and laid them out in one straight line, it would be over 60,000 miles long. An adult’s blood vessels would be closer to 100,000 miles long. That means an adult’s blood vessels could go around the circumference of the Earth … more than 4 times. Trying wrapping your mind around that.

The cells in your body react to your thoughts:

The Ancient philosopher Lao Tzu once said: “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions”. The Bible tells us “thoughts become things” and “as a man believes, it is done unto him.” Your mind is a powerful machine and controls every function of the body. But the good news is you have the power to control your mind through your conscious portal. Experiencing positive thoughts leads to more positive thoughts and an even broader view of everything around us. For example, positive thoughts can strengthen your immune system while negative thoughts can bring it down. Your subconscious mind acts somewhat as a magic Genie or Jinn. Whatever you implant into your mind through your thoughts, decisions, opinions, and beliefs … WILL manifest. So keep it good.

You are made of stardust:

As Carl Sagan used to say, we are made of “star stuff”. It sounds like a line from a poem or a Science-fiction film, but there is concrete science behind this statement. Almost every element on Earth was formed at the heart of a star. The carbon, nitrogen and oxygen atoms in our bodies, as well as atoms of all other heavy elements, were created in previous generations of stars over 4.5 billion years ago (our Earth age). So next time you’re outside on your back looking up at the starry night sky, your relative celestial forms are twinkling back at you from the darkness. And remember - we are all made of star dust, the SAME stardust - which means we are all ONE. One point of origin. One Source. One Life-force. One race. Oneness. There really is no “other.”

Who Is Your Sound Engineer?

Who Is Your Sound Engineer?

If you've ever had the pleasure to be in a music group, and to play with amazing musicians as I have, then you will certainly know the importance of having a great Sound Engineer coordinating the main sound system and how the instruments and vocals will be heard. This person, can make or break you. They have complete control over everything that will be heard by your audience, and as such, whether people will think your band sounds amazing, or if you band members will need to keep their day jobs.

As a band member, you rely completely on the sound person. And, generally, they will not adhere to your requests or complaints. You get what they give you, good or bad. When it's good ... you've got a great show and everybody's having a great time. When it's bad ... it's really bad. You can't hear the vocals, you can't hear the harmonies, the lead guitar solo disappears, you can't hear the kick drum, etc. An absolute train wreck for sound. And ... the entire night will be this way. The stress this creates is almost intolerable. As the musicians and singers, you are at the mercy of one person who controls all the knobs, faders, and buttons.

Now, what if you're not on stage with a band. What if you're not even a musician. Chances are, you will still have this experience at one time or another. Who is it that controls your knobs, faders, and buttons in life? Who or what is it that is holding you back from the real you? The good news is ... you have a choice when you're not on stage. You can decide your path, and how you want to be presented to other people ... your audience. Always feel free to be yourself. Don't give your controls to anyone else. Proudly present yourself as you truly are. Sing, dance, create, and enjoy all that life has to offer without being stuck behind a Sound Engineer who has the power to misrepresent who you really are.

Stay unplugged. Go acoustic. Let your real voice, mind, and heart be heard without any interference, misrepresentation, and false impressions. Stand proudly, perfect as you are, and say "I AM ________." Believe it, and live it. Life is about the journey, not the destination.

Ancient Origins of Prayer

Ancient Origins of Prayer

Dr. Michael Ryce is the director of an institute which is charged with the translation of the oldest known copy of the New Testament, directly into English. One of the most powerful concepts he speaks about is the definition of the word “prayer.” From the ancient Aramaic one interpretation of the meaning of “prayer”is, “to set a trap for God.” This does not make much sense in our modern western way of looking at things, but in the ancient world, God/Source was understood to be the energy of creation, or Love. If God/Source is thought of as Energy, then it makes sense for us to tune” into the proper frequencies to be able to receive and express that Source Energy.

In this way, we can think of ourselves as having the ability to tune to certain thoughts and energies, much like a radio can be tuned to different frequencies of radio waves - which are always there and available for reception. In our mind/body energy system, we can think of our spiritual faculty of Choice as the tuning mechanism. We can make conscious choices to “tune”our thoughts to Love, and the thoughts and behaviors which are compatible with that energy of Love. We can choose to engage in behaviors and interactions with people that express that energy of Love and extend that Love in every relationship we have with every person and everything in our life. When we choose to do this, we set ourselves up to receive the energy of Love, or God/Source Energy, much the same way that we would tune a radio to receive the signal of our favorite station.

I would agree with Dr. Ryce’s call to all of us to make a choice for Love, to choose the thoughts and behaviors which reflect and extend the energy of Love that we are made of. In this way it is possible to make one’s life a prayer, by choosing to tune”ourselves to the energy of Love and God and in that way, to set a trap for God. We come from Love, we are made of Love, we are Love. Everything else is false.

The NT Bible quotes Jesus in Matthew as saying:

“When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men … But you, when you pray, go into your inner room (within yourself), close your door (isolate yourself from distractions) and pray to your Father (Source Energy/Life) who is in secret (unseen within you) … And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do … So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.”

The deeper esoteric meaning of this scripture is to meditate, to use centered prayer within through your Higher-Self … the Divine Spark of Christ Consciousness. Your Source Energy knows what you need already because it is the God within, your Higher-Self, that knows everything before your ego-self does. Prayer is a plea to the matrix of universal consciousness that connects all of us. It isn’t hocus-pocus magic. It is “honest to God” quantum physics and oneness of consciousness.

The more you fine-tune the frequencies, the more form will manifest. Thoughts are things. They generate measurable energy … and they can’t simply dissolve or go away. They will manifest, either in this universe, or within any number of multiverses that remain unseen by the human eye in a physical world of matter. Faith, is knowing the Law of Cause and Effect. Once you understand this Universal Law, your faith becomes knowingness. You just KNOW it will happen.

The Illusion of Colour

The Illusion of Colour

Color is energy. In fact, it is an electromagnetic phenomenon, which depends on the way that light is reflected on the objects.

Every object absorbs a part of the light which hits it and deflects the rest towards our eyes: this reflected light is interpreted by our brain as a particular color.

We shouldn’t, therefore, be surprised to find that the word color comes from the Latin root celare (i.e. 'that which covers, conceals').

Color is then already an illusion per se, a ghost that takes life only in our visual system, when light stimulates the photo-receptors - the antennae that pick up luminous signals – that fill in the background of our eyes. The world surrounding us is sadly in reality monochrome.

Our Three Minds

Our Three Minds

Each if us has essentially three minds that we juggle - CONSCIOUS, SUBCONSCIOUS, and UNCONSCIOUS. We may want to add on the Superconscious mind, or Divine Mind for spirituality sake.

A lot of different literature uses different terms. Which one is which? Which one is correct? Are they the same or different? What is the difference between the subconscious mind and the unconscious mind? Even some experts in the field of psychology struggle with defining the terms and they are often, mistakenly, used interchangeably.

The mind can be divided into three systems: the CONSCIOUS mind, the SUBCONSCIOUS mind, and the UNCONSCIOUS mind.
The CONSCIOUS MIND is you AWARENESS at the present moment.

You are aware of something on the outside as well as some specific mental functions happening on the inside. For example, you are aware of your environment, your breathing, or the chair that you are sitting on. It is your awake-ness.

The SUBCONSCIOUS MIND or the preconscious mind consists of accessible information. Kind of like RAM on a computer.
You can become aware of this information once your direct your attention to it. Think of this as memory recall. You walk down the street to your house without consciously needing to be alert to your surroundings. You can talk on the cell phone and still arrive home safely. You can easily bring to consciousness the subconscious information about the path to your home.

You can also easily remember phone numbers that you frequently use. It is possible that some of what might be perceived to be unconscious becomes subconscious, and then conscious (e.g. a long-forgotten childhood memory suddenly emerges after decades). We can assume that some unconscious memories need a strong, specific trigger to bring them to consciousness; whereas, a subconscious memory can be brought to consciousness more easily.

The UNCONSCIOUS MIND, consisting of the primitive, instinctual wishes as well as the information that we cannot access. Everything thats been stored since we were born. Everything.

Although our behaviors might indicate the unconscious forces that drive them, we don’t have easy access to the information stored in the unconscious mind. During our childhood, we acquired countless memories and experiences that formed who we are today. However, we cannot recall most of those memories. They are unconscious forces (beliefs, patterns, subjective maps of reality) that drive our behaviors. They have the power to manifest into form. And in many cases, we wish they hadn’t.

Has The World Gone Mad?

Has The World Gone Mad?

So has the world truly gone mad? Before we attempt to answer this question, first ... let's take Banking, Religion, Government, the Global Elite, Big Pharma, and the Mass Media out of the equation. This way, we can begin at a basic level of uncontrolled, and non-programmed, base humanity. In other words ... just regular people with regular lives.

Once we remove all of the outside influences, we are left with the basic battle of ego versus Divine Intuition and Direction. Ego being your own self-centered, sense pleasure, and self-only benefit thinking and acting.

Divine being your default setting of love, compassion, peace, and joy, that can only be brought forth by taking the ego by the reigns and making the right decisions ... for ALL ... not just you.

Herein lies the battle. It's not a literal war of weapons and military power, but it is a war of courage and willpower. If we simply stop listening to the outside negative influences, and we turn inwards for guidance and direction, we can defeat any negative circumstances.

This would include an overall improvement of not only the status of the entire world, but also improvement of your own personal physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. All would benefit.

So when we add Banking, Religion, Government, the Global Elite, Big Pharma, and the Mass Media back into the equation ... we must come to the Truth. We must understand that worker bees and worker ants feed the Queen (that would be us). Without us, without our blind acceptance and ignorant status due to missing knowledge, they can continue to do what they desire ... right under our nose.

Be informed. Begin to research. Ask questions. You are entitled to a life of abundance. And there is plenty of everything to go around ... except that there are a few thousand people hoarding resources and controlling finances.

You can't have a sporting event, unless you have team players, and spectators. Without players, there would be nothing to play ... and without spectators, there would be no money to be made.

We can have a voice simply by the way we purchase products, mind our thoughts, improve our actions, and above all ... learn their game ... and don't suit up.

Remember, the best way to control the opposition, is to own the opposition. So be careful with what forces you join. You may be helping to progress the negative powers without even knowing it.

Let's face it ... the only way to control 7 billion people, is to keep them stupid, uninformed, and under a spell of deception at all times. All the music, concerts, party spots, nightclubs, professional sporting events, etc. are all ways they keep us busy and distracted.

When we see a mass shooting on the news, or anything of a large proportion ... know that there is something much bigger taking place and this event is being used as a distraction ... Not that it may not be real ... But it is a convenient time to run a program behind the scenes.

Wake up, empower yourself with Truth. Become who you were meant to be ... and make today the day that you plan to enjoy your life. Help to end the suffering for all living creatures on this planet. Ask yourself, has the world gone mad? Or, has the world not become mad enough ... mad enough to stand for whats right, whats true, and whats good for all.

Who or What is This "Satan?"

Who or What is This "Satan?"

There are a lot of people in our religious culture that are scared to death of this being that the Bible calls “satan the devil.” This "satan" has wreaked havoc in English translation scripture, and also in the lives of millions of people over the centuries. We are told to “resist the devil," yet, we are told “do not resist evil.” Where does this leave us?

Due to the fact that today, modern religions rely on only “literal and historical” interpretation of ancient scripture, satan is seen as a literal being hell-bent on destroying the children of God. But, the allegories, metaphors, and parables contained within the Bible stories were never intended to be taken literally. The entirety of it’s content is allegory. Hidden within the stories, is the deeper lesson.

In John 6:63 Jesus is quoted as saying “these words I speak are Spirit and they are life.” The Bible also states “the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God.” These writings are to be “spirutually discerned.” To be reading and interpreting them as literal, historical, and physical means “naturally.” 2 Corinthians reminds us “the letter kills but the Spirit gives life.”

God, Jesus, satan, are all personifications of something much deeper than the surface story. God is Love, Christ is Wisdom (Sophia) and Power, and satan represents the personification of fear, and the the opposition of the Will of God ... goodness and love.

2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us “For God has not given us the spirit of FEAR, but of POWER, and of LOVE, and of a sound mind.” Spirit, is something that is within you. In the realm of the unseen. It can either assist you, or hinder you. Love, Power, and Fear are spirit. The spirit of fear cause us to think or act in certain ways. So does the Spirit of Wisdom, Love, and Power. But remember … “God casts out all fear.” In other words, on a deeper level … Love casts out Fear. God is Love, therefore, Love is God. And it is through the power and Wisdom of the indwelling Christ (within ALL) that this is accomplished.

Fear cannot cast out fear. Only that essence of God/Source Energy know as the Christ or the seed of Divine within all of us has the Power and Wisdom to do this. Therefore, satan has become a personification of fear, and fear can only be overcome dy Divine or Perfect Love, personified in the scriptures as God and Christ.

We can go all the way back to ancient Egypt and the story of Set, and all the way back to Greek Mythology, and beyond to find the exact same concept. The ego in our mind can wreak havoc on us, unless we let the Spirit within take charge and lead us down the path of Truth, rather than the path of ignorance. The New Testament quotes Jesus as having said to Peter: "get behind the, Satan." The esoteric lesson in this quote is to let the Divine lead, and the ego follow.

There is but ONE power in this Universe, and many call that Power, God. Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence leave no room for anything, or anyone but God. If you do not think scripture provides for this concept, then turn to Isaiah 45:7 for confirmation:

"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things."

So the Lord, God ... does it ALL. Good and evil ... everything. You may quote the book of Job to try and prove me incorrect. But just remember, even in Job (which is also allegorical) Satan worked FOR God, and under His Will. The story of Satan in the book of Job had to have the permission of God to do anything at all.

In closing, this satan (ha-satan in Hebrew) is not a literal being operating out of the invisible realms, tormenting and torturing innocent souls with equal or greater power than God. Satan is merely the attribute in us (ego/opposition), that the Power of God/Source and Christ Consciousness also IN US, is able to cast out. LOVE … conquers all.

What Signs Have You Been Reading?

What Signs Have You Been Reading?

Everywhere we look today, whether on the road or off the road ... we see signs everywhere. But what if you couldn't read? What then? How can these signs help you in any way? They wouldn't, and couldn't. In order to KNOW what the sign is communicating to you, you have to learn to read, first.

Now let's use this example when looking at our own spirituality and the deeper essence of who we really are on the inside of this bodily vehicle we are using. If you don't know how to "read" the signs (intuitive guidance), then you don't KNOW what is communicating to you.

Your journey Here is a spiritual destination. The journey is already in your GPS, but if you don't move from where you are, it simply won't be able to assist you ... Unless you just want someone else to drive for you. Which is the case with a great many people today. They would rather someone else do the work, do the research, the studies, the meditation ... And then just tell them what to do. This is the case with so many who are in churches on Sunday mornings. They show up for 2 hours, and let somebody else in the pulpit tell them how to live their life.

This is not going to help you discover your true Self. The light-energy within your body. The Spirit of who you really are ... is projecting into this realm like a movie on the screen. The screen is a mirage. It isn't "real." It may seem real, but is is an illusion. The real you is the beam of light projecting from the back of the room. Sure, it's nice to watch the movie ... But it's somebody else's production. It's someone else's creation. You are here to make your OWN movie ... To create your OWN production and experience.

You know when you have that occasional talk with yourself? The inner dialog that banters back and forth ... Sometimes arguing, maybe trying to convince, and other times commending you? Who do you think you're talking to anyway? A dialog is a conversation. Otherwise, it's a monologue. Every word you THINK, every sound you SPEAK ... All begins in mind. Inside you. This is the throne of God. Your Temple ... Golgotha ... The place of the skull. Thoughts are things ... Energy becoming manifest into form. You are a co-creator in Life. Take the time to find our who/what it is inside your manifest form (body) that is creating and unfolding your Life experiences. You owe it to your Self. This is why you sent you here to begin with.

Remember, that which many would call God, is experiencing Life through YOU, with YOU, and AS YOU. The word "Universe" is defined as "all existing space and matter (Spirit and Earth) considered AS A WHOLE. There is no "other." All of existence is One Life of Light - One Organism) ... And countless rays of light projecting into the world. Take the time to find you REAL Self.

Here's Your Sign: After You Die You Will Meet God

Here's Your Sign: "After You Die You Will Meet God"

Recently I traveled from Florida to Virginia and back again in my RV. Over the course of 900 miles, one can see a lot of billboards along the south to north stretch of I-95. I don't remember many of them, but three in particular caught my eye. All three of them delivered the same message, black letters on a stark white background,  from the same organization: "After You Die You Will Meet God" and at the bottom was their website.

Really? How arrogant and ignorant to place a billboard with this message without any further explanation or meaning. Let me take a few paragraphs and explain to you why I believe this to be such an ignorant statement.

First of all, apparently the people behind it are assuming that they actually know the Truth. In fact, their website even includes the word "Truth." They believe the deception so deeply that they now want to pay money to offer their personal convoluted statement to all the travelers on I-95. But ... meeting God "AFTER" you die is nowhere even near to the Truth of who and what God/Source is and when you will interact with it.

God ... or Source Energy, The All, The Almighty, The One, The I AM, etc. is evident in all of creation at this very moment. From the very breath we take, to the wonder of the universe and everything in it ... THIS is ALL what we have named "God." It is the mind and manifestation of all there is, was, and ever will be ... and all of us are an integral part of the collective entirety of One. God, is experiencing and manifesting through life itself ... with us, through us, and AS us ... NOW and ALWAYS ... Not after we die only.

The Matrix of universal consciousness interconnects every living cellular organism. While our bodies do die, that essence of who we really are ... does not. We are the life-force of energy within this vehicle or vessel of a body. It is our Ark. When the body returns to the Earth, from where it came, we return to collective Spirit, from where we came. And it is ALL ... right here. Another realm, another dimension ... But here and now. We are eternal energy having a temporary physical experience. Matter (Mother) is in fact energy at the lowest frequency of vibration. Nothing is solid, nothing is fixed. Study Quantum Physics for a bit and you will learn why.

Next, there is no need to "meet God" because we ARE God. Yeah, I know ... BLASPHEMY! Get over it and listen up ... within us is the Divine Spark of the Source ... the Christ Consciousness that is the microcosm of the macrocosm. As above, so below. As within, so without. WE are made in the image of God/Source. Upon connecting with and realizing this Truth, you will understand that there is no "other." All life is interconnected and the universe is mental/mind.

God is mind, manifesting creative desires in order to experience all there is to know. From the ground you stand on, to the air you breathe, to all of life being experienced by your sensory centers in your brain ... everything is electrical and magnetic energy being converted in your skull. Our entire life existence is experienced inside the darkness of our head. Between our "temples." This is the throne of the Divine and Golgotha ... the place of the skull.

I could go on and on with this subject but in an effort to keep this article to a reasonable length, I will end with this counter-statement. Instead of "After You Die You Will Meet God" ... simply know that God exists all around you in every form your senses can experience. In many ways, God/Source Energy is all there is. It is the "I AM' that you are. I am ... THAT ... I am. Yeah ... that one.

Literal or Veiled Teachings

Are Scriptures Literal or Deeper Lessons?

Take a moment and ask yourself, "how is this any different than anything else that promotes hatred and violence?"

"of the gods of the peoples who are around you, near you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other end, you shall not yield to him or listen to him; and your eye shall not pity him, nor shall you spare or conceal him. but you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people. "

~Deuteronomy 13:7-9

Now, ask yourself WHY the religious scriptures of nearly 4 billion people worldwide promote violence? Rape, murder, mayhem ... without any regard to life whatsoever?

The answer is simple. The Truth contained within the stories is masked/veiled. These scriptures are allegorical and metaphorical. They are an outward representation of an inward teaching.

These scriptures were never meant to be historical or literal. Every civilization had their versions. Murdering evil is to destroy dark thoughts. Keeping virgins is to retain the creative principle of mind ... to bring forth the child of thought. Boats, arks, vessels are the body in which we are bound. Water and air is Life Source. Adam and Eve are all of us ... masculine (thought) and feminine (form).

Take the time to read BETWEEN the lines. It's what is being said BEHIND the stories that we are to use to ascend to a higher level of consciousness ... the Mind of the Divine ... to bring Heaven (thought/Spirit) on Earth (form/matter). THIS is "The Father" and "The Mother" ... Heaven and Earth ... thought and form/manifestation.

The letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth Life!

What is The Hebrew Name For Jesus?

Jesus and Joshua are the same word. One is transliterated from the Greek/Latin, the other from Hebrew. It is more of a title than a name. "Jesus The Christ" is derived in English from many things.

First, know that the Hebrew word for GOD is symbolic. The Hebrew alphabet is also symbols. Each letter actually has a meaning beyond being just a letter. The letters are YHVH (in English) and this combination is called the Tetragrammaton (meaning 'four-letters' in Greek).

In Biblical times, all names had meanings. Hebrew linguists believe YHVH is a form of the verb havah, meaning "to be or become." A form of the "I AM" given to Moses.

So, YHVH ... (also represented as Yehuda, Yehovah, Ya, Yehoshua, Jehovah, etc.) is symbolic of God. By adding the Hebrew letter "S (shinn) we now have YHSVH which literally means "God Saves" or God is Saviour.

Therefore YHSVH (Yeshua, Joshua, Iesous, Jesus) literally means "God Is Saviour." The word Christ is Greek (Christos) meaning "anointed", derived from Greek χριω (chrio) "to anoint". This was a name applied to Jesus by early Greek-speaking Christians. It is a translation of the Hebrew word מָשִׁיחַ (mashiyach), commonly spelled in English messiah, which also means "anointed."

Though somewhat complicated, the title/name of Jesus Christ has the meaning kind of like "the anointing of God saves."

The Old Testament story of Joshua and the New Testament story of Jesus are nearly identical it their message. Even the names are the same.

Remember also that the English letter "J" was not developed until after the 1400's. Even in the original King James it is written as Iesus and Yoshua (Joshua) ... since the "I" and "Y" were used prior to the letter "J". Technically, the names Jesus and Joshua were never known until much later when the "J" was added to the English alphabet.

So ... the original question of "what is the Hebrew name for Jesus" can be summed up as "Joshua." But there is much more to the meaning than just words or names.

Stop Should-ing on People

Stop Should-ing On People

Today's post is dedicated to the memory of my friend and spiritual mentor, Rick Pinette.

Why do we spend so much time should-ing on people? We should on ourselves and on others. "You shouldn't do this, and you should do that." Or, "I should've done this, and I shouldn't have done that? Stop should-ing, and start living.

Every ancient society had their Wisdom and it always revealed the Divine spark within all humanity. Forgiveness, love, compassion ... are all human characteristics and will keep us all living in peace and harmony with each other when we practice them in unity.

Life is an experience, and in every experience We find a lesson hidden beneath the surface, waiting to be unveiled ... our own personal revelation. We learn through these experiences, good or bad, how better to improve our life and the lives of those around us.

It's such a waste of time to linger in past events. Learn your lessons and move forward. We can't keep being stuck in the negative emotions of what we shouldn't have said, or done. It's destructive and wears us down. We lose sight of forward motion and we lose the present moment, which is all we ever really have. Look back in reference but do not linger in regret.

Use what you've learned and apply it to your life. Choose the good, and use it to benefit all people and all things. Do not rehash your past thoughts and actions have been ... turn them around using the lessons you learned and simply BE. Live each moment is awe of the universe that unfolds before you each and every moment.

In reality, good and bad are opposite polarities of One spectrum. Everything just IS ... Do your best not to label it or judge it ... just take the lesson learned and rise above any negativity. From a Biblical perspective, the New Testament says:

"you shall love God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the 1st commandment. The 2nd is this: love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these."
~Mark 12:30-31

This scripture is the summary of the whole of biblical scripture. Do this, and ALL of humanity will benefit. This God, is the power within. This is the Source of all that is ... The very breath that brings life. You may call this force whatever you choose, but the evidence of a life-force is undeniable. Begin within ... change begins inside ... in the realm of the unseen.

When your last day comes upon you, it is best to be remembered by all the positive goodness that you did for others - through the lessons learned -  than for any negative experiences you had that helped you get to that point.

Literal or Veiled Teachings?
